Description
My reimagining of the bearer of the Earth Ring, Kwame, for my Captain Planet Reboot.When the modern world ended, Kwame was in Africa which was devastated by a which devastated by continent wide drought. His tribe became nomadic, searching everywhere for their next means of survival. When the tribe's shaman receives a vision of where the tribe should go, his took Kwame aside and explained that his destiny will send him on a path different from where the tribe is heading, to "a wasteland of ice and snow, where he will find a way to restore our world".
Kwame is a quiet and calm person and usually the voice of reason in the team. But when the time calls for it he immediately becomes serious. Living off the land, Kwame is an expert on outdoor survival. While the team looks to him for leadership and strength, Kwame looks to them for his strength to be all the things they need him to be.
Will his Earth Ring, Kwame can control every type of Earth around him, Rock, Soil, Mud, Sand, Crystal, Plantlife, Metal, and Magma. With the command of these very forces, Kwame could be the most powerful Planeteer.

Imagine if Kwame, Gi, Linka and Wheeler used their elements like avatar benders. Like Linka could have airbender tattoos.

He's from a Nomadic tribe, so he never had a clear place to call home.

If there is a live action Captain Planet movie following the path of Power Rangers, who from Africa or African lineage would play him?

Honestly, I don't know. Casting has never been my specialty, live action or voice. But if there was a live action movie, I'd have to take the Power Rangers movie route and cast unknowns because I can't think of anyone in the right age range to play these teens.

I can think of these actors:
Kwame: Unknown (like Dacre Montgomery)
Wheeler: Nick Robinson or Jack Griffo
Linka: Vita Sidorkina
Gi: Wendy from Red Velvet
Ma-Ti: Same with Kwame's actor. Better be one who's the youngest.

Wheeler: Nick Robinson would be a better choice (though he'd have to act better than how he did in Jurassic World)
Linka: She's a good choice
Gi: She could work
One thing I know I would want with casting is to not have everyone look insanely attractive. With some movies, it seems like the only way something big can happen to anyone is if their attractive enough.

He's got the African tribal wear. But will he wear his Planeteer uniform? I miss those outfits with the globes.

Well he's only got tribal paint, bracelets, and a necklace. Nothing else of his former tribal wear. No, matching T-shirts don't work for this version.

Not sure about that. These rings are a lot more mystical than before and having every day objects being summoned kinda doesn't fit.

Exactly what I was going for. Just putting him in his outfit wouldn't have sold that he was tribal, so I thought the other parts of him like his necklace, braclets, and tribal marks was a good way of keeping that.

Good work on the planeteers so far. Though I miss the globe on their t-shirts that represents the planeteers.

Thanks, I left the globes off because those shirts screamed some kind of name brand t-shirt rather than what they were about. The globes could come later, but not on their shirts, kinda like a symbol they could put anywhere on their outfits.

Honestly, I felt that he, Gi and Linka are equally the most powerful members of the Planeteers. MAINLY because they control the three most common aspects of the Earth; Kwame controls the planet's crust and other things of that nature, Linka can control the wind and skies and Gi can control all forms of water
Ma-Ti and Wheeler are still tough though XP Just Wheeler controls mostly flames (Which is a chemical reaction of sorts) and Ma-Ti can control the minds of tohers around him, so he represents 'life' on the Earth
SO in a way, the otehr four control the four states of matter (Kwame: SOlid. Gi: Liquid. Linka: Gas. Wheeler: Plasma)
