I love this skull! I cleaned a few off in the past, and have a few posted if you'd like to see them. One is 2009's record holder for largest horns. Some of these sheep can even grow up to 6 horns! Did you clean this one yourself?

Sorry, late reply!
I personally cleaned up the skull after I bought it (bought it when it was kinda disgusting and had pieces of dried up meat all over it)
I've gotten better since then, and my favourite 4-horn I cleaned is :[link]
I saw a baby one at a woll festival that had 6 or 8 nubs! I hope he grew to be quite an interesting ram!

Very cool! This one looks much cleaner. I always loved working on them because of the strange horns. Like a cross between an aoudad and a mouflon almost. The only adults I've seen with more than 4 horns weren't too impressive, there is already barely enough room for 4 horns, so when more are added, they either don't get very big, grow into each other, or have to be trimmed so that they don't grow into the sheep.
If you get the time please check out the 2009 record four horn I posted. He isn't the best looking, or the best job that I've done. However for his size I don't think he's gotten enough attention, haha.

The trace from a skull like that would actually be a pentacle which is an upside down pentagram. ^_^ On another note, what is the best way to rid a skull of some leftover flesh. Someone gave me a ram skull but there are little bits of dried meat and cartalige left in places and I would like them gone. Id also like to whiten the bone up a bit. You were the first person I thought to ask.

Oh your skull, if you have a pot big enough, boil some water and put the skull in it for about an hour or two. With a wide ram skull you may have to do it half at a time. You can use Arm&Hammer washing soda in the boiling water to take off the stubborn bits of cartilage (the washing soda turns meat and cartilage into something like a booger that washes off easily). And to whiten the bone, you can find paste hair bleach (often whiting powder and high-grade peroxide) Mix it up and paint it onto your skull. Wrap/cover it in plastic and wait overnight to wash all the peroxide and whiting off. If the skull is small enough to submerge in a pot of new boiling water, you could just pour peroxide into the pot and let it simmer for about half an hour, checking on it until it's the shade of white you would like! Hope that helps!
Oh and, forgive me since I'm not pagan or wiccan and dont know my stars, but a pentagram is two points to the top, where a pentacle is two points on the bottom, right? I was told one point on top is pentacle, two points on top is pentagram (like the ones you see in horror movies)
(if at an aerial view) Two big horns being the top points, and the nose at the bottom-most point. Cheek horns filling out the side points.
(bad keyboard interpretation)

Thanks for the skull info.
And on another note I really don't know all that much about the inverted pentagram, just what the "normal" one is and means. I just thought that there was another name for it...but my brain fails at the moment. I just hope I didn't come off as preachy. I just find such things interesting to talk about. ^_^

Very cool sheep. I've never seen A Jacob's skull with horns that long though so he must have been a very well cared for animal.
Have you ever seen the sheep that result from a Jacob's crossed with a Churro sheep? (Churros are another old breed which the Spaniards brought to North America) They sometimes have four horns too, but the horns are curlier.

He was a really old ram. You might be able to see the bottom horns had to be clipped because they would have grown into his neck.
I have never seen a Churro hybrid before!

Like I said, well taken care of to get that old.
I've seen several hybrids alive, as the Jacobs was once interbred with the Churro in New Mexico. However, I've yet to see a ram as the people I was talking with tended to remove the mixed blood rams from the flock.

Have you ever thought of the possibility of making masks/helmets/headgear or anything wearable from all these great skull works you do?
I think something such as this would look amazingly intimidating.

They're all extinct to the wild world, but many farmers raise them. I remember seeing them one time on Ripley's Believe it or Not and on an Animal Planet/Discovery show on nature's freaks.
xD They make me think of pandas....

I guess it'd be like more armor for them... not being able to be stabbed in the neck or anything...

Matter of fact, goats became a demonic symbol because of their large 'ding dongs'. It was often told as a fairy tale that they would appraoch monks, who weren't allowed to 'do nasties', and whisper in their ear naughty things.
And that's a really old story.
