Character designs for the lovely who requested some Monsters based on Anxiety and Bi-Polar disorder."The Bipolar monster is always at odds with itself, its two head constantly bickering with each other in a language of gibberish. The blue head is always depressed and easily irritable and the orange head it always on a high and in a frenzy.
Other monsters tend to stay away from Bipolar due to the constant noise it created with its arguing. "
"Anxiety is small enough to sit on its victim's shoulder and whisper thing in to their unconscious. No-one has ever seen the face of Anxiety for it always wears a skull as a mask.
They often carry small objects linked to their victimβs anxieties. Clocks are a favorite."

Oh snap you are on here! Someone just showed me your artwork the other day and we had a huge group discussion about mental disorders and how your artwork really did the feelings associated with them justice.

All in all, these monsters of reality look very cute but really, they can be terrifying. I suffer from PTSD and Bi-polar disorder. I also have somewhat of paranoia and depression. Its not a fun thing to deal with really. It sucks the life outta you,

This is amazing.Β I looked up your art because it appeared on DA's facebook page and said there was a "set" of these monsters.Β I happen to have bipolar and a lesser anxiety, and your description for the monsters are spot on.Β I think it's awesome, so thanks for making this, even though I imagine some people are less than happy with it.Β

Yes, I try to do at least 1 new monster on the weekends and upload them. Borderline Personality Disorder was planned for this weekend actually

Woah, these series is really cool and I can relate to so many of them. Especially that thing the clock, I use it a lot when it comes to my OCD and it's become as much as an love/hate object to me as much as food.

My sister had some rough time dealing with some of the things Ive drawn, and what you said about OCD and things with time and food, thats things I noticed about her. She would always worry about time and having to think about eating etc.
(and I dont mind, this is why I am doing this monster project, it brings up conversations and makes people think.)
And yes, eating disorders would be good, but some of them might be a bit sensitive?

Well, all mental disorders are a bit sensitive so I don't see the difference really. Myself I'm anorexic as well as sufferer from depression and OCD.

Its alright though, shes managed to deal with it and is a stronger person for it.
That is true, I think I know about eating disorders more personally, from experiences with people around me so I guess it feels more personal and extra sensitive.
It may make the designs stronger though, which will be good.
