Description This piece is made of candle wax by dripping hot wax onto my skin. It is then coated in resin to add to the dripping effect.

Thank you, I love the dripping. Didn't know it would connect the two sides like that, but I think that's my favourite part. Thank you for your feedback.

Its very pretty.

Sorry didn't realize all the comments show up here. SO you all know how the material is now...twice.

Thanks for the compliments, they are really useful for my research and seeing how people react.

I was wondering the same thing - would it break easily?
It really is beautiful though, the sort of thing I'd be thrilled to own.
brilliant idea, I love it!

It's pretty strong actually. I rolled over a sample withe a chair and it stayed in tact! What happens is the wax can still crack and come away from the resin, but the resin provides a sealed shell around the wax. I have actually tried melting the wax out and it worked! But I have to make the resin shell thicker ot sustain a form on it's own. Thank you so much for the compliment, I really appreciate it. I like that it looks like so many other materials, very intersting.

Wow, amazing! Great idea, and it looks almost like stone or something. Did the resin make it hard or is it still incredibly fragile?

It is still quite soft. I tried coating it in hard resin and it really makes a strong shell that isn't very brittle. I rolled over a little sample with a chair and it actually stayed in tact, but got squished. Which is nice because the material I think is stronger because it can bend a bit and doesn't just crumble like the wax does on it's own.

I am experimenting to see how strong it really is though because I still worry about long time wear, and how well it will stand up. Thank you for the compliments.
