Description Well...realistic in the very loosest sense of the word, anyway. XD This is my attempt to get out of the artistic block I've been in lately.

I'm amazed that I finally got around to coloring this...and now that I have, I'm not sure if it was a good idea or not. Oh well...practice is good.

Man, the original pic for this is ooooold....back when Slayers was having their first round of fancrazies. ^___~ Here it is, if anyone's interested... --------> [link] Still can't decide which version I like better. ^^

I think overall, I like the colors....any excuse to practice with Painter makes me a happy Zanne, and what better subject for me than my fave anime couple in the world. *cackle* If you've been following my gallery at all, this should NOT come as a surprise to anyone. XD

Thank you very much! I'm glad you like my somewhat unusual portrayal of Zel and Amelia. This is still one of my fave pics of them to date; I really had fun coloring them, though I still can't decide if I like this one or their original black and white pic better. XD

[link] <------ Dun dun duuuuuun....! Apparently it's going to be titled "Slayers Revolution," and it's hinted that Xelloss might be more of the main character in this new series, instead of Lina. It's speculation right now; more will be revealed in May, I hear. They're supposed to have a big article about it in Dragon Magazine next month.

I'm not sure what to think of it...more than a decade has passed, and this series borderlines sacred for me; it's one of the first anime series I got into, and have made a lot of friends because of it. Dunno how I feel yet about them trying to resurrect it and take it in a different direction than the novels or the original series. We'll see; hopefully it will be a pleasant surprise.

**Anxious joygasm** Wow, I'm totally excited to hear that they're making more, especially since from like middle school all the way through high school, I was a hardcore Slayers fan. But I am torn. As excited as I am to see more, I'm afraid of them screwing it up, and after Try, I have such high standards. XD

*laughs* I'm see-sawing between excited and suspicious, myself. XD Oh yes, I was quite hardcore too; I was one of those people in the late 90's, early 00's, who was fighting off the rabid fangirl pairing wars. XD Lord, those were some crazy days. *cackle*

My thoughts exactly; I'm afraid of them screwing things up, and damaging how people view the series. I hope at least they use the same voice actors/actresses.

Oh yeah? XD My fave season was NEXT; it centered more on the Fruity Four, and come on, who doesn't want to see Zel used as a boat anchor? *thinks of the barnacle scene and laughs*

That is a marvelous scene and one of my favorite episodes of NEXT. But I just love the interaction between Xel and Filia, it's too good to pass up. There was arguably not enough Zel action, but man. I took a liking to those two real fast. XD

*giggle* Thank you so much! I've never been particularly good with realistic noses, but I'm overall pretty happy with how this came out. I'm still not sure which pic I like better (colored vs. B&W) but, it was definitely good practice for me, at any rate.

I really like this. The colors, their expressions, the pose, and the medium all add to it in their own way. It's not super-realistic, but not anime-style either.

I believe I saw the original years ago, when I just sort of googled ZxA (^_^') I love the colors - I thought you had used colored pencil to get such warmth, but you did it with Painter! I do so love this pairing, though it sometimes competes with Xelloss/Filia for my top Slayers-ship. (*^.^*)

Hey, I used to google Z/A all the time! ^^ Found a lot of wonderful authors and artists that way! *nod*

*griiiin* I just love using Painter. I use it whenever I can, because there's just something about the textures I can get with it...they behave very much like traditional media, so I feel more comfortable with it. That and having a tablet helps emmensely...*is so completely amazed at those who are proficient at mouse-art*

Heehee...I'm a Filia/Xelloss shipper too. Considering their dynamic, how could it NOT be true love? *CAAAACKLE* They're adorable. ^__^

Oh, I waited a long time and saved up for one. ^__^ To tell you truthfully, there is really no point in getting any tablet other than a Wacom. The difference in quality is staggering, and it's well-worth the money. *shrug* Still, I realize they're extremely expensive, and hard to justify. Personally, it's one of the best things I could have invested in.

What size do you want? You can get a nice Wacom 6x8 Graphire for under $190. I think you can actually get basic Graphires starting at $99 now. Heh, a far cry from my 9x12 Intuos2, which cost me $450. ^^ I lurves it, cuz I can set it in my lap. ^_______^
