Description Just wanted to make a cut-paper thing with an interesting shadow. Played around with 3D effects, too - the green ribbon sticks out about a quarter of an inch further than the rest of the piece.

Thank you! This one is a little plain on-screen, because the whole point actually is the dimensionality of the piece - the green band of paper incomes forward by about a third of an inch, so it looks more interesting in real life.

Haha, it's a little difficult to figure out what to do with cut-paper pieces that haven't been specifically commissioned, because I don't really have a place to store them until/if I sell them. IRL, this one is currently sitting on my dresser atop a pile of art stuff. XD

I hear ya.Β  I have dozens of paintings kinda on top of and all over things at home.Β  At least the watercolors are easily packable - the old art school oil paintings, not so much.

It turned out really great! Love the choice of colour and the shadow really is an eye-catcher. It adds something mysterious to the picture and works well with the expression.

Eee, thanks! I've been trying to play around with more interesting shadows/lighting in my digital work lately, since my cut-paper pieces tend to have neutral lighting, so I thought I should try to experiment more with traditional stuff too.
