Cut-paper commission for ! I hunted around for a leopard-print paper to use for the cape, but couldn't find anything suitable, so made the spots by hand. And then a week after sending it off, I found a lovely sheet of leopard-print paper.... -__-Ah well. Next time!

I've been trying to do more building for New Pangaea, but the amount of time it takes me to draw manga pages is pretty depressing so I'm just trying to think of a way around it so I can go back to exploring that world.
(This AU is a totally new one, pfft. I'll send you an email and probably attach more reference images than you'll know what to do with since this one was built up completely from visual sources.)

Manga pages certainly do take a long time. Comics are a metric ton of work! Scripting and thumbnailing and sketching and inking and COLORING/TONING and LETTERING, and then you have one page. Only crazy people do comics! (There are a lot of crazy people in the world.)
Of course, you don't necessarily have to make a comic out of it! It could be exclusively a writing project, if it turns out to be more suited to that format. Every project is slightly different, and the best way to tell a certain story may not work as well for the next.

I dread to think how long all that must take. I've only done a full, proper job of thumbnailing and scripting and stuff when it was a comic for school. Usually I just...wing it from page to page. Which, as you can imagine, results in some pretty weird page layouts and such. orz
I imagine its going to end up a pretty weird mix of comic and story, since I have a few random paragraphs written for various moments in the story, and I dislike writing in full prose only to make a manga page out of it and lose all the descriptions I put in to it. :'D

The tattoo was fun! I originally wanted it to be a little more complex - to add flowers or dragons or something - but when I sketched that out the watery theme wasn't as clear, so I went with the simpler wave pattern instead.
