Well, it's probably because it's slightly less cartoony... I tweaked his design a bit (especially the donut mouth), though some people didn't like that. Glad that you like it. ^^

With the exception of Fraaz's mouth, this picture is perfect! (the only thing wrong with Fraaz's mouth is that it doesn't look like the REAL Fraaz's mouth, but you aren't going to listen to me because of your preference to exercise creative liberties)

Personally, I like the real Fraaz's mouth better, but hey, I'm a fanart "purist". I completely reject any interpretation of Quote and Curly Brace that isn't Chibi (as per the credits art of their game, Cave Story). It's your drawing; you can draw any mouth you want
