So...this is my merman Lantis for a project I'm working on...he's inspired by this angelfish [link] But he's no angel, he's quite the rebel actually, likes to go up to the surface O.o So...ya hope I'm not the only one who thinks mermen are hotLantis belongs to me

You know, mermen are told to be hot, and now I see it's true because you have made the HOTTEST MERMAN I'VE EVER SEEN...and I'm not lying, he's face is just gorgeous, his attitude (proud, sexy, rebel), his nose, his lips, his eyes, everything it's well proportionate!! and that makes him look so handsome!!
oh! and his hair *-* I love his hair so much, it reminds me of legolas hairstyle in some way :3 I wish to have more time to describe your wonderful work, how I enjoy seeing him like that, I mean, the pose of his body...EVERYTHING!!

Happy you like his hair too! Legolas was my first love, so I always draw inspiration from elves. I kinda went with a braid/mohawk on top but still kept it more elvish than punk.
Good luck with your merman drawing, it's really fun to create characters like this! I didn't use a specific reference for him, but before I started drawing I looked at lots of pics of guys laying down on the beach or beds to get an idea how their abs look and such.
