oh, I never said it was innocent and not twisted. I said it had twisted innocence. Very significant difference. Basically, as I may have already explained, males are--in fiction because ancient history/lore/legends/myths and feminism being a rather recent invention--the natural warriors. For them killing is supposedly second nature, or at least less un-natural. So it's just a man doing what men do for what men want. But when it's a girl, especially a child, there's more of a stigma of love and purity that they supposedly represent. Yandere is basically, in my experience, supposed to be a twisted version of love and purity. They're so devoted it's just plain unhealthy, so unhealthy that they ignore their natural inhibitions about killing. Whereis men supposedly have no such inhibitions. Now maybe I sound like some 15th century faggot, but we can't really escape hundreds of years of traditional ideas, especially in fiction where everything is, or at least can be, symbollic.

Maybe it's the age that kinda ruins it for me, I'm used to Yandere being very confused little girls who honestly cant tell there's something wrong with themselves. They think they're in love, but truth is they're mentally insane psychopaths with an unhealthy obsession. that twisted innocence makes them more tragic and overall more likeable I think. Not that we're supposed to actually LIKE yanderes. But the best villains are the ones that really f#ck with your head
