I'm gonna kill my inactivity by submitting something I shoulda submitted months ago hahaThis was my midterm for my Zbrush class last semester!
Some kind of goblin.gremlin thing, hell I dunno xD
I really liked how he came out, especially the fibermesh, it was fun to work with, and he's all fuzzy, I love it

Also I have not tried Zbrush before, do you recommend it?
Since I've only used 3ds Max and blender and those are just pain in the ass to use.

I do recommend it totally, though it's not free anywhere xD;;;
However Sculptris 3D is made by the same company, almost like a starting program into zbrush, and that's free :3

I'm in a school where we could be doing this, but instead we're studying so much boring lame stuff ugh.

Ahhh a small institute where I'm going for Game art and animation stuff *-*
Basically we learn the works of Maya, Unity, Zbrush, and Photoshop, making models, animating models, and learning the Unity game engine and scripting to make video games haha xD

Oh wow that sounds like shit that I really want to do. They teached us so tiny little amount to PS and 3D modeling that it makes me sad, because even the teachers don't know enough about those things lol.

Every single one of my teachers does what they teach outside of being our professors, any question we all have, they know exactly what to do, they tell us stories about what they've done while working for game companies and everything

There was some guy visiting our school who had graduated already, got a job and all, he told us that the amount you learn in this school IS NOT ENOUGH
You either learn more at work or you just go to a new school to study more.
I think our teachers know what they're doing (kinda), it just feels like they still don't have enough knowledge at the most interesting subjects like animating those 3D things..

Frankly, any work you do in school isn't good for a demo reel/portfolio, because generally assignments are under time crunches and you can't put your all into them, so when you graduate, your real work begins with practicing and such *w*

Well, a little bit of those interesting subjects, like the basics of PS, photography, video editing, 3D things (they were on 1st year, we're on 3rd now).
and lately we've been writing blogs & updating them. We had to create our own blog from a template, I didn't learn anything because I just had to chose the theme and colors aaand that's pretty much it.
We've been playing around with watercolors, taking some photography, making short videos, creating designs for possible products like mugs, shirts, cards etc.
Trust me, it's not nearly as interesting as it was on the first year.
I believe it's because our best teacher left, he was the only one who seemed to know a lot about different programs and games.
He's making his own games for phones in Spain now.. RIP

I'm studying audiovisual communications in vocational college, it doesn't even have much to do with drawing.. Well, of course it's a good benefit if you're artistic. :'D
But basically A LOT of sitting in front of the screen, using adobe programs and more sitting. But this year, it's just boring as hell.

It is but the stress is equal Fekin scripting, man Oh gen ed classes, like the ones that you have to take at ANY college besides your major classes for the degree you're going for, things like college algebra, college writing, speech n such!
