THIS IS OLD BUT I DON'T CARE CAUSE IT'S JUPI <3So this was finished around April of last year for my demo reel, I decided to sculpt Jupi, and despite it being outdated, I really do still like it ;v;
Unfortunately I can't edit the model cause I have an outdated zBrush version on my lappy, so I couldn't take new screenshots of the top and bottom ;;;

I know it's old and all, but just wow, it looks fantastic!Β I'm in love with the muscle and bone work!
The back legs looks a bit too long in the lower joint thingy, but it still looks good!
I tried doing a 3D dragon once on Blender, but I failed miserably, and the poor thing looked like a disaster, so I know first hand how difficult modeling can be.Β But this really looks great, old or not.Β
And I also love the fact that I can still recognize your style, even though it is from 2D to 3D.Β

The longer legs were intended, but they came out like....unnaturally long haha xDD
Frankly I should have extended the calves Β down more now that I look at it :'D
Blender itself is so different from other programs, I don't blame ya haha, it's difficult to work with.
zBrush is so much better for organic modeling, I create models by starting with zSpheres, essentially they are...spheres of course, that you can connect and create a base model to work off of, it's really handy!

Well what do you know!! It's jupi all modeled up, though it's not what I mistaken on XD it's freaking fantastic and stunning to see this albino red vaned derg, the structure you done took time and effort on is splendid! Very realistic I say, that face looks frightened.

At the time, I made some decisions to change up her anatomy for the purpose of the assignment at the time, and I think it came out well ahh <3

WOAH WOAH WOAH! Look at this mighty fine piece of work! Its really cool how you can see someones style transferred into and actual 3d piece of art. Seriously, this looks pretty darn nice! I love the horns and eye!

WOMG This is freaking awesome, I can't believe that you did this, it looks super proffessional and detailed, you're amazing!! The anatomy is really good and the came is super well modelled, I also like the good looking shading the patherns.

I had so much fun working on Jupi here last year, especially painting on her, which is surprising because I'm not good with detailed texturing but simple stuff is fine hah :'D

Hard to say!
It depends I guess, when it comes down to little details, painting is harder for me but otherwise sculpting really has its challenges, specially mouths :'D

Oh jeez, I don't even remember how long this one took...I'm currently working on another sculpt and I'm almost 4 hours in with the base body, no color, no major details and no spikes or wing membrane even, 3D modeling takes quite a while x'D

Is it possible to have 'bases' so to say? As in you have the general shape (Like here:Β Photo 2017-02-08 22-35-13 ) and then reuse it with small tweeks and edits? Because I can imagine that would save you a lot of time when working~

Yeah I would definitely try to do that, as a matter of fact, I do have this base still saved so I can make it into a general shape and change it later to fit other characters as you say, just tweaking it a little to save on time xD
