It's been a while now since I've wanted to try drawing ponies accurately to the show's style. I've been trying a few times, doodling and just seeing how accurate I can be to the show while still holding some of my personal touch to the characters. I'm really satisfied with the results. I won't lie and say that I did use a few references for this picture, but that's the only way to do it if I want to capture the style's essence into my drawings. After all, I'm trying to be as accurate as I can. It looks legit-- I think? I like it!
I was going to draw all of my characters in the MLPFIM style, but instead, I wanted to do something different. I was chatting with HyperSweetHappyness on skype and she told me she wanted to make a filly! I do believe that Dappleton needs more youngsters, but with the current rule about foals, it would be hard to imagine the town getting filled up with foals from married couples. It's not like the cats or dogs rp groups. I think the Dappleton is trying to fit a more 'human' timeline to the rps. Therefore, foals can't just be born and grow up within months. It could take years! Bummer!
Though as I looked through the gallery, I found two youngster already! Mistral Mend and Atticus! Well, Mistral is 16, but it's still considered young-- he's a teen! So if Hyper makes her filly, that'll be three foals in total! We must celebrate that! What's a town without youngsters? And yes, I did say there would be three in total.. then.. why did I draw five of them? Hurrhurr. MM I wonder, who could those two be?

That reminds me, I need to work on my App for my second character and decide whether I want my main character's younger siblings to start out as NPC or just to wait until I can make them into full-fledged characters (being a newbie that'll be a couple more months).

I didn't look at the foals in the group as well aside from Atticus since he was recent but yea theres not much kiddos now that you bring it up ;o

IDK, i just never quite imaged her having babies herself, you know? I may make her barren...huge IF right now, though x3

Yea, they look different from what I've drawn them in the past, but that's because I was sort of debating with the colours still. I wanted the whole family to be close to their parents' colours scheme, but I ran out of ideas when I reached the twins. Now that I was able to think it more thoroughly, I picked the best colours that could fit them! \o/ I hope it's not too much of a shock. Their colours is the only thing that changed-- and their hair since they are in Ozwell's family. Those ponies grow hair like grass grow on earth. hehehe

That's an interesting point you made. For me I wanted to kind of grow on from kid characters for a time focusing on the older age groups and then eventually flipping back and forth between making characters with various ages lD
Which reminds me to get back into Dappleton. Since I've switched to a new computer I have to get a few of my old sketches back and color them for this group l3

Yea, seems like the only way to do it in Dappleton. I've been in cats groups before and it was easy to just start as a kitten and grow up with the experience and relationships acquire throughout their younger times. It helps the roleplayer to feel invested to their character and really attached to them. You can see all of the things they went through and what made them the character they are! Despite that, Dappleton is still a great group, but I miss the ability to grow with my characters.
