I had a lot of fun drawing this one. I really want to go draw more Okami stuff now.Day 9 of Equestria Daily's NATG. Princess Celestia as Sun God Amaterasu.
Since the theme is video games, movies, etc... I thought I'd take the opportunity to try and draw in the style of my favourite game ever. Seriously, if you've never played Okami, you are seriously missing out.

I knew from the very first glimpse of the boxart that Okami would be a good game. After playing it I knew I had never been more right in my life.
Good crossover! I think Celestia might have a little more power than Okami since, even before getting the help of the other gods, she would already have a hefty array of magical attacks at her disposal. And hooves.

This is seriously awesome, and Okami does NOT get the attention it deserves.
Even I did not think to do Okami. Now I feel bad that I drew Fluttershy as Cornet off of Rhapsody, instead of doing something Okami....

Thanks. I think I will once the NATG is over, it's a very fun style to draw in. And you're right. Even after all the people on the internet that I know love this game, I've met maybe one other person in that's played it in person.
What is Rhapsody like? I've never heard of it, and your drawing has piqued my interest.

It is an old PSOne RPG game by Nippon Ichi (did a few other like Tail Concerto which is one of the better 3D platformers for PSOne IMHO)
Have yet to play Rhapsody myself, but they released a DS port a couple of years ago. It is said to be fairly simple and fun, yet short for RPG standards. Though there is A LOT a musical style singing, so just be warned if that is not your thing

Or maybe I'd just do what I always do and procrastinate until the last 4-5 hours. Yeah, that's a tad more likely.

Deadlines are good, they make you focused. Having a goal to work on under pressure will really help a lot of people doing the NATG to improve, because you have to do your best, but better so that you get done on time.
But yeah, totally need more time to finish all of my drawings off.
