The third and final member of this newest batch of Disney/Pixar cutie-pies by J8d , it is Jenny Foxworth from Oliver & Company.Oliver & Company, of course, is the retelling of the Dicken's classic Oliver Twist but with a Disney twist - Oliver is an adorable little orphaned kitty, the Artful Dodger is a wily canine who he befriends, Fagin is...actually still a tramp who runs a gang of pickpockets and thieves, but they're all doggos instead of children. xD The villain gets a spectacular comeuppance at the end when he catches the train.
and Oliver is happily adopted by the very spoiled sweet little rich girl Jennifer "Jenny" Foxworth. I thought her birthday party dress from the end of the movie would make a much prettier addition to the Disney Stars series than her play clothes - or school uniform. I hope you all agree.
Oliver and Company and its character depictions are © Walt Disney of course.
The source material Oliver Twist is of course long-since in the public domain, hence all the dramatisations of the story that regularly get made by various production companies. xD

This is one of those movies with some severe tonal whiplash at times. Going from Oliver and the gang meeting each other, to Sykes telling somehow the proper way on how to dispose of a corpse, the utterly diabetes-inducing song Jenny sings to the death of the main villain which is really intense all things considered. Not a bad movie, but does snap from one feeling to the other. Cute pic as well, I think Jenny was originally meant to be the character from the Rescuers before they changed it.

That's very true, it did switch back and forth a bit between tasting like diabetes and being a very dark, gritty story any time Sykes and his hounds came onscreen (although still with its own brand of black comedy).
Yes Jenny was originally meant to be Penny from the Rescuers. They couldn't get permission to re-use her character design apparently, so they redrew her and lazily renamed her by a single letter.

Who knows, maybe Jenny's party dress was based off of Little Orphan Annie's pretty dress? I admit, they do look incredibly similar...

I definitely recommend seeing it; it's a very lovely film but a bit underappreciated compared to the great movies of the "Disney Renaissance" that immediately followed it.
