So it's officially been 3 years since I left the Yuugiou fandom, and now I am officially back! It was the greatest fandom experience I've ever had. The friendships I made in it have been arguably been some of the most influential things in my life and the whole experience just made me so happy.I left not because I disliked ygo, but because I knew too much about it and I felt like it was becoming stale. But now that I've had time to be away, there's new faces and new fan work out so I have so much new stuff to explore. Yuugiou really is my favorite fandom, and more than that, Malik Ishtar is by far the most interesting character I've ever known. I've been drawing Mariku and Malik fanart for years but damn. It doesn't get old.
So cheers to me returning to my roots, and cheers to Mariku because he'll always be my favorite character. Hopefully I've improved in 3 years!

Love the background, looks like the handprints of his victims. Yami Marik himself looks awesome as well, love the shading and almost realism but still animated look. :3

This is definitely one of the best Mariku's I've seen in a long time. Digging the shading and the lines you used. Also, the touch of visibility on his abs through his shirt is fabulous <3

They way he's looking out of the image causes a slight chill because it really feels like he's looking right at you and I also like the coloring and the glow to his third eye. Very cool

Something about ygo is just so great you can't leave. It's not the best series ever, but it's just so captivating. There's something about it that makes you always come back.

I really like the shading and lighting on this, but I think I like the realistic style even more. Especially the hair I just - it looks so. Real. And not horribly insane and everywhere like how I usually see it portrayed.

All the ygo characters have such fucked up hair it's hard to draw realistically, but somehow for some reason I understand Mariku's hair haha. I still have to tweak how I draw it a little but I'm glad you like how I portrayed it.
