That devID I made way back when is kinda embarassing, so here's a new one. I've started wearing my hair in a braid, though I'm trying to be a bit more creative with my hair. Not much else to say...Related content

Lots and lots and lots of practice....
Seriously, though, there are a few things I do that help. If I'm using a reference, I make a "skeleton" or "frame" on top of the image with just really simple lines. It looks like a stick figure, really, with little balls for the joins. Without a reference I tend to get into the pose myself so I can feel how my own body bends, since I'm most familiar with my own body of course. I also draw in rough shapes (sausages for arms, rectangle for torso) and then go back and touch it up.
