No clouds that day? The sunken ship really gets you yearning for childhood adventures for treasure. It's sort of neat how the seagulls could be mistaken as part of the trees if you weren't looking carefully enough. The water ripples came out amazing although very grainy, which probably can't be helped. It would just look so much more realistic if it had a smoother texture.

Thanks for the comments. I wrestled with putting some clouds in, but I decided in the end to leave it a clear day.

how the heck do you do a giclee of a pen and ink work?

the background is interestingly handled, very eyecatching

xpegger In reply to Quilsnap [2010-10-14 03:13:24 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. Giclees of pen and ink works are made no differently than giclees made of paintings or other mediums. Thanks for the comments!!

hey julia! ..its julia right? O.o
ur comment just reminded me of a famous quote by P. Mc'Cartney and I have to share this -

After a concert a woman speaks to Paul and tells him:

woman: "I would give my life to play like you do!"

Paul: (smiles) "Yea.. I did."

hats off eh..? ^^ <3 ~so true!

WHAAAATTTT!!!!
I expected the genre to be "Photography" it would be fantastic in there - but a DRAWING - absolutely top-notch first rate brilliant.

I will now go and break all my pencils, drink all my paint and mope in a corner somewhere forever. Bye.
