What happened to your blog post about the Curupira plateau?

Blog post? I was going to revamp my blog, but it has been flooded with spam, viruses, ect. I can post a link, but wouldn't advise visiting it.

So, is the Curupira plateau a real place? I haven't been able to find any photos or information on it or the cryptids that supposedly live there.

I believe it is inspired by a real place, I used to think it was a real place, but not anymore. I have some stuff I could send you, but it is a lot and I don't know the best method of doing so..

Ah, so the Curupira plateau and the cryptids associated with it are fiction? Did Jaroslav Mares make it up? or does it predate him?

cryptidsaurian In reply to TheMorlock [2014-02-03 04:41:21 +0000 UTC]
Well, I am not saying it is made up, I really just don't look at the whole cryptozoology thing the way I used to, and am a lot more skeptical. I don't know if it predates jaroslav, I believe there were other people who also had information, but I am drawing a blank when it comes to the names.

I see. I know what you mean. I find as a get older, I become more sceptical, but I still think crypozoology is a legitimate pursuit. You just have to think critically.
So, where did you hear about the Curupira plateau and it's cryptids?Β

I tried posting a reply a few days ago, it seems it did not send. It has the potential to be a viable science, but I find most of the time does not. The guy I was toldΒ about all of the Amazonian cryptids was a deviant who no longer is active here. He does however, have facebook page you can contact him on; his name is 'Jakub Rocek'.

Seems pretty suspicious to me. Is he the guy who called himself Isla Nublar Crew?

Yep, you may want to ask about the folder of images (magazine clippings, news articles, ect) pertaining to it. He sent it to me a long time ago, if you cannot get it from him, I can send it to you, but it is large (300 megabytes if I remember)

I have an article about the Chipekwe and the Stoa. Nothing about the Washovrie, or Rakshi, though.

A cryptid with no documented sightings is hardly a cryptid at all.

Yeah, but most cryptids aren't real animals anyways.

So, it would seem. Lately, I've been entertaining the idea of writing a book on cryptids focusing on the ones I consider most likely to exist.

Sure, please tell me if you ever do. Perhaps it could spark up that interest that has been lacking for me.
