Hello there, beautiful people!~ I haven't submitted anything in like forever!!! So here have this fic! Yeah, I decided to make it a Romano x Reader!~ Just cuz Roma needs more love! <3 Also, this a contest entry!~ The contest is being held by pokemon275 !!~ She's awesome!~ Oh and btw you should follow her if you're not already!~ She's a great writer!~ Anyway! Back on topic, I have really been looking forward to writing this! I hope y'all enjoy it!~ The purpose of this is to try and make you tear up or sad....... I might fail miserably though!

        Amber eyes peered at the black box in the middle of the field. It seemed as if a million emotions swirled in the amber depths. The ones that stood out the most were pain, grief, anguish, sorrow and love. Lovino couldn't quite believe how many emotions filled his body. The teenage Italian had the urge to scream his pain out the heavens. But, he couldn't, meanwhile everyone else around him sobbed their eyes out.

        But anyway, who was the girl in the coffin with (h/l) (h/c) and a now dull, pale (pale/tan) complexion? That girl, that once beautiful, cheerful girl was his best friend. Please do notice was. (Name) was dead. Departed, gone, perished, deceased. Forever. He would never see that beautiful bright smile that could light up the darkest of paths or her twinkling (e/c) irises.

       His best friend, one of the only people in the world, who cared and preferred him over his little brother, was gone. A fresh wave of grief and pain hit him like a ton of bricks in the face. He yearned to see her again, to hear her again. His heart ached for her warm hugs and comforting words.

      But, she was dead. And a part of him died with her, and was about to be buried six feet underground, never to be seen again. Buried in that muddy hole and covered up with pounds and pounds of dirt.

        He had seen his best friend die right before his eyes. He had see her in her death bed. He had watched her take her last agonizing gulp of air. Her death had been unusually peaceful.The images seemed to flash right before his eyes.

                                                                                          -------------FLASHBACK! AT THE HOSPITAL!--------------

          The hot-headed Italian raced through the white hallways, barely avoiding the doctors and nurses standing nearby. 'I found it!' As thought, he found the room he was looking for and quickly gripped the handle. 'God, let her be alright!' With no hesitation he pushed the door open.

       His eyes scanned the room and immediately after a few seconds landed on the bed. His blood ran cold. His eyes scanned her battered, bruised body. It definitely looked like she had been assaulted."B-bella?! A-are you awake?!" He stuttered nervously. As if in response, the female gave a weak groan and slowly opened her eyes.
    "L-lovi? Why are you h-here?" A small coughing fit followed that question. Lovino just stared at (Name) as if she was stupid. "You got hurt! That's why I'm here, idiota!" The female gave him a smile. Lovino glared at (Name). Did she not see how serious this was?! She could die! And here she was smiling, even though she was in much pain. And it was noticeable, too.

    Just as Lovino opened his mouth to talk, he was interrupted. "Lovino, I don't know why, but, I have a feeling I'm not going to live"-the female coughed-"b-but, I want you to know that, I couldn't have ever wished for a better friend than you. I can't count all the times you've dealt with my emotions and constant troubles and I thank you for it."- the heart monitor began to pick up a pace-"I just want you to know that, I'll miss you and I-I l-love you..." The (h/c-ate) coughed more, her breathing beginning to slow down.

      Horrified, Lovino pressed the button that called for assistance. "(Name)! You cant die!! You have to be alright! Your my best friend! You've cared about me when I thought nobody did! You've been there for me, always! I-I'll be alone! You can't leave me!" His voice rose dramatically as a doctor pushed him trying to check on (Name). Lovino let out an anguished screech and shoved him out of the way.

      "Goodbye, Lovi.... I love you." And with that the heart monitor beeped even more before giving a last, long beeeeeeppppp. Her breathing halted and her eyes glazed over and closed. Her head fell limply to the side.

    Terror gripped the Italian's body like a claw. "No......(Name)......NO! COME BACK! NO!" He shook the corpse, as if that would wake her from the eternal slumber. "You can't be dead, it's not possible!" Tears welled in his amber eyes, as he constantly repeated the words, as if trying to convince himself. Lovino let out a heart-shattering scream of grief as he broke down, sobbing into his arms.

    "(Name), come back! Ti amo! I love you dammit! P-please c-come back. I need you!" The young man had never felt so much pain in his life. His heart felt like it was getting clawed away.

                                                      -------------------------Back to Funeral!----------------------------

     Lovino watched with intense emotions burning in his eyes, as they lowered the casket into the ground. He watched as they covered the hole from top to bottom. He watched as a part of his heart was buried in the ground. Not a single sound left his lips.
     He watched and waited until every single one of (Name)'s grieving family members left.

                         Finally he stood there, alone, at his fallen love's grave.

     His emotions clashed inside him. Grief, pain, anguish, love and sorrow. His emotions finally spilled out of him like an overflowing dam. He sank down on his knees gripping the new tombstone harshly, forcing his knuckles to turn white. His eyes filled to the brim with tears as he let out a choked sob. The sky seemed to agree with him, as it began to rain. The precipitation hit the ground at the same pace his tears did.

The precipitation drenched him from head-to-toe.The tanned male turned his head upward, the tears and rain dripping down his face like a waterfall. A wail left his mouth as he stared up at the grey sky. "(NAME)! COME BACK! PLEASE! P-please....I need you..." His voice cracked at the end of his plea.

      And there he sat, sobbing his eyes out, begging for something he knew would never come true. His heart ached. He would never hug her again. He would never hear her adorable laughter. No more comforting hugs or words. Because:

                         (Name) was dead. Departed, deceased, perished. He would never see her again.

                                                The mere thought drove him crazy, insane.

                                                      But, it was true. She was gone

                                                                    forever.
