Description
The (h/c-ate) gave a small sigh. Tomorrow was probably one of the most important days of the year. The 'holiday' in which couples gave each other little trinkets. The holiday where girl received sweets and small plushies from a secret admirer. Hugs and kisses where part of said holiday. The air seemed to be sickly sweet with love and mushy-feelings. Valentines Day! The only problem was, she didn't have a valentines. She didn't have that one special person to share the lovesick holiday.
Just thinking about the love full day and the fact that she had no one to share it with made her head hurt. 'I don't need anyone! I'm better off without a guy!~ Yeah!~' (Name) tried to convince herself that this was true. She almost succeeded, if it weren't for the twist her heart seem to give at the thought of being alone another year. The female gave another sigh. "I can think of this tomorrow......... I'll see what happens...." With that said, she buried her head into her pillow, meanwhile hugging her large (fav. animal) plushie to her chest. As soon as she closed her eyes, she was fast asleep.

TIMESKIP!~ NEXT DAY!~ AT SCHOOL!~
The (h/c-ate) walked down the hallway decorated with red balloons and several Valentines Day posters. As much as the female wanted to say all this made her gag, she couldn't. How could she, when she herself wanted to be in someone's arms, feeling loved? 'That someone is Francis.' The blonde French boy with ocean blue eyes, also known to her as her best friend and crush. She desperately wanted to be loved by Francis. It was impossible not to fall in love with said male. He was just so..........breathtaking!~ Apparently she wasn't the only one who thought this. So many other girls seemed to have taken an interest in the handsome French boy.
'It's impossible, there's so many other girls who are much prettier than I am!' (Name) wasn't ugly, she had sparkling (e/c) irises, (h/l) (h/c) that had a texture that would put silk to shame, and flawless porcelain like (s/c). She knew she was pretty, she just didn't think she was good enough. She sighed as she stopped at her locker, quickly entering the pin. All around her were happy, teenage couples. The (h/c-ate) opened her locker and much to her surprise- and delight- inside lay a beautiful, bright red rose with a small note. She curiously picked up the rose and brought it up to her nose. Instantly, a pleasant smell greeted her nostrils. She turned her attention to the note. She cautiously set down the rose and picked up the note. In neat cursive it read, 'Je t'aime!~'. The female's heart nearly leaped out of her chest.
The only person she knew who spoke and wrote French was Francis. A pink blush spread across her face. "I can't believe it!~" She gently closed her locker and skipped away to her next class. She would thank Francis for the rose and confess her feelings after school. Little did (Name) know what was in store for her.

TIMESKIP!~ AFTER SCHOOL!~
The female rushed down the hallway to her locker. As quickly as she possibly could, she stuffed her binders into her backpack, grabbed the rose and the note and hurried towards her best friend's locker. Her heart began to beat at a nearly inhuman speed. A small smile formed on her pink face. Her eyes quickly scanned the hallway for the handsome blonde. After a few minutes of searching, she located him.
Without much hesitation she began to walk towards him. As soon as she reached him she poked his shoulder. Immediately, Francis turned around his eyes gleaming happily and hopefully, what the female failed to notice the way his ocean blue eyes dulled when he saw her. "Hey Francis!~" The female greeted cheerful. "Hello (Name)." Yet again, the girl failed to notice how hollow and slightly bored his tone seemed. 'It's now or never!~' "Hey, Francis! Thanks for the rose, it's beautiful!~ I love you too!~" Her speech was rushed and her face was tinted bright red. A look of confusion flashed across Francis' features, quickly replaced with pity and sympathy.
Francis awkwardly looked at his best friend. Oh God, how was he supposed to tell her he didn't put the rose in her locker. He would break her delicate heart! "U-umm, (Name), I'm sorry but I don't return your feelings. I didn't put the rose in your locker." In all honesty, he was waiting for Alice Kirkland. A look of heartbreak flashed across her pretty features. "O-oh! D-don't w-worry! Your waiting for Alice right? Hahaha, well Francis, I'm sorry for wasting your time. I'm sure the rose was just a j-joke." Her voice cracked at the end of her sentence.
Before Francis could react, (Name) had already left. As she ran towards the door, she passed several couples. Her heart throbbed painfully, the (e/c) pools brimming with tears and a look of pure heartbreak spread across her features. 'STUPID! HOW COULD YOU BE SO STUPID! SOMEWHERE, SOMEONE IS LAUGHING THEIR ARSES OFF!' The female managed to reach the door without crying her eyes out, but as soon as she was away from the building, the dam broke. The tears streamed endlessly down her face.
She ran the entire way home. As soon as she got home, she went up to her room and slammed the door shut. The rose was still in her hand as well as the now crumpled up note. She flung the rose at the floor and immediately began to step on it. She ripped the note in half, just like Francis' had with her heart. She threw herself at her bed and began to sob into her pillow. After continuous crying she managed to fall asleep.
Little did she know the rose and the note had not been a prank.
Who put the note and the rose, you might wonder?
It was none other than Francis' brother
