Title: Anime, Manga & Friendship
As a teenager, (F/N)'s life revolved around a few essential things. These oh-so-important things were what kept her going during the day and drove her to stay up late on school nights, which she'd regret the very next morning. Yes, anime and manga destroyed her -ahem- now non-existent social life, but it made her happy. Her parents scolded her for her lack of social interaction, in their words, "You should be out with your friends!". The socially inept girl responded with, "I don't understand why you're complaining. I have good grades and unlike other kids my age I don't drink or smoke!" That seemed to stop whole conversation, while her guardians grumbled in agreement.
The most social event in her life currently was attending the shithole called school. Her peers were all too loud and obnoxious for her taste, and their constant chatter seemed as if they suffered oral diarrhea. And what they said wasn't even smart, only stupidity rolled off their tongues. However, there was one exception, that just so happened to be her best friend. Kiku Honda.
The quiet Japanese boy was not only adorable, smart and mature, but, he also loved anime. And speaking about anime, today was a day they'd both been waiting for.
Today was the two friends' monthly anime marathon. Excitement bubbled inside the female's body, she gave a small squeal as she quickly set up in her room. 'Pocky, cookies, chips, chocolate, cake... oh! Pillows, blankets! What else, aha! Drinks..' The list in her mind went on a little longer, until she was finally finished. She smiled broadly at her room, she had everything, including manga & anime. All that was missing was her dear best friend.
Seid ihr das Essen?
NIEN WIR SIND DIE JAGER-
The girl's phone blared loudly, immediately she ran over to her bed, nearly tripping over her own feet in the process.
"Hello? Kiku!"
"(Name)-chan, I am currentry outside of your home."
"Alright!" She chirped, running towards her front door.
The door slammed open, nearly breaking off it's hinges, revealing her guest. She smiled broadly, ushering him inside. "Kon'nichiwa, I've brought some of my manga."
"ALRIGHT! LET'S GET THIS ANIME MARATHON STARTED!"
"Hai..."
"Kiku, calm down dude, you'll burst with all that excitement."
-----Timeskip!! Several hours later-----
One sniff.
Two sniffs.
Three sniffs.
Followed quickly by a muffled sob.
The wail erupted from the (h/c) girl's lips.
Meanwhile, Kiku himself was tearing up a bit. His eyes remained on the screen, Death Note was truly fascinating. Despite the fact they've watched this amazing anime several times, it couldn't get old.
"Why does it still hurt to watch the love of my life die? I've seen this too many times for it to possibly be unseen." (F/N) blabbered sadly, "And somehow, my displeasure with Light only grows... That little shit! W-why did L have to d-die? You little shit, you'll get what you deserve!" She ended rather darkly before sniffling once more.
"Raito is very cruel yet it makes him arr the more respectabre." Kiku murmured.
His best friend huffed as she stuck a piece of cake in her mouth, the sweetness sending pleasurable waves through her body. She murmured incoherent verses, mostly about how much she despised Yagami and how he never deserved taking L's place.
"You little manipulative bastard!"
She shouted at the screen before shutting up and watching the last episode play out.
As Death Note came to an end, Kiku changed it.
"(Name)-chan, wourd you rike to watch Shingeki no Kyojin?" He popped a piece of candy in his mouth, awaiting the girl's response.
Immediately, she stopped chewing on her cake, "Kiku, is that even a question?! Of course!"
A few episodes into the season, Kiku trailed his eyes towards his odd companion. There she sat in all her glory, trying not to choke but failing as she munched on her slice of cake. His eyes lit up slightly, he wasn't one to show much emotion, but around his dearest friend, he made a few exceptions. This girl was absolutely ridiculous, so weird, so queer but Kiku found himself content with the fact he had her as a friend. He appreciated her kind words when he was stressed, followed by her comforting hugs, even though she know how awkward physical contact was for him.
He found himself smiling softly at the girl, a rare gesture of affection.
Feeling the awkward boy's gaze on her, she slowly turned around to look at him. She found a pleasant surprise, he was smiling. She smiled back, before handing him a slice of cake and picking another for her. She swallowed before speaking,
"To our odd, yet amazing friendship! May we be best friends until we're both old and cranky!"
She raised her cake, encouraging Kiku to do the same. He inwardly smiled at her odd, yet, sweet antics. He bit down on the cake, enjoying the delicious treat before looking back at the screen.
Soon after, a loud cough interrupted his concentration.
'Ah, (Name)-chan seems to be choking...Again.'
