An irritable fist bangs twice against the shoddy back door, signalling that he would not give any more decent conversation to his equally irate cousin. The solitary figure in the strangely decorated 'backyard' lies splayed across the porch, feet crossed in the wirey grass. Their porch was small - a person could barely walk across without having to take the step down into the grass - but it was just right to serve as a slightly elevated seat. And it is such a nice evening... This crummy chore is better than hanging out in that hot shop, at least.

Skillfully, a small blade occupies itself by spinning playfully between all four fingers. He used to nick himself on the palm, once upon a time, but not anymore - oh no. He had the little scars to prove it, though, should anyone not believe him - and god help them if they mentioned that they didn't believe his years of dedicated practicing. Vicious pride, someone might call it - and he has it for good reason. Thank god his brothers let him have something.

Green eyes scan the fenced rectangle, bored.

He'd tried some cheap archery lessons, once. He'd been excellent at that, too. Oh yes - just marvelous, his instructer had said. But something was just unsatisfying about it - something he couldn't put his finger on. Perhaps the lack of connection he felt to that arrow. Putting some muscle into his throw just felt good - there was just no point if he didn't feel that reaction, Suna believed. He'd never attended another class, after realizing that it was incredibly boring. Archery was for snoots.

He pauses the twirl of his knife, noticing the small scuffling near the small hole under the fence. Ah.

... -- Ah-ha. "Here we go. Got it."

Thunk. The blade had been catapulted - launched - to embed itself impressively into the fence, catching the tail of the inquisitive elephant rat along the way. Unfortunately, the rest of the animal squeals in terror and scurries back under the wooden posts, amusing Suna and pulling a chuckle out of him.

"Hey - are you listening? I got the little sucker," he calls pridefully to his cousin, hauling himself easily to his feet, lumbering across the small grassy space to collect his knife. Little pest, it was. Their kitchen would be safe for now - at least, until that thing decided it wanted to lose something besides the end of it's tail.

Additional Info:
• He works in a junk shop, so to speak. It belongs to his uncle, and he works alongside his cousin. He does minor repairs, but is completely unsatisfied with the job. He can't exactly leave, however, due to his family insisting that he stay -- so he roams about at night with a few delinquents, fishing out the extra buck in various ways.
• He knows his corner of the city like the back of his hand. The rest of it? Not so much. He relies heavily on his company and landmarks to navigate around.
• The only one of four siblings to not have any bending talent, Suna has always been outshined in too many ways. There's no better way to win his immediate dislike than upstaging him.
• His fire bending is mediocre at best. It's a rare sight to see him use it for anything other than menial tasks. ( lighting candles, fireplaces, welding small machinery parts, etc. ) Due to this, it would be easy to assume he wasn't a bender at all. His NPC friends are mainly non-benders.
