Description

After the success of the LRB Sentry the Mallessi Planetary Defense Group went back and created an updated version of the LRB Sentry to focus more on its strengths. Much like is predecessor the LRB Sentry 2.0 was designed to be a surface-to-space barrage unit, only now with extra firepower. It’s main weapons are two high yield kinetic artillery canons with a range of 300,000 miles. Some of the tech was simply ported over from the first model like its long range infrared, ultraviolet, and electrical sensors allowing it to accurately detect and target from a planets surface. The LRB Sentry 2.0 did away with any short range weaponry, and is now solely a long range artillery unit.

Its armor and shields were downgrade as the heavy armor and shields of the first model were unnecessary for a mech not going to see the front lines and were driving up the cost. It now sports 4 inch macro titanium armor and a grade 2 energy shield.

The LRB Sentry 2.0 was sold to the same clientele as the original model, and can be found in many Planetary Defense Armies. Utilized properly as a supplementary unit to larger armies, these mechs can reap havoc on enemy formations from a safe distance. If the attacking enemy fleet is unable to break through the defenders lines to target the LRB Sentry 2.0 they are almost guaranteed to suffer massive casualties.
