Here we have a squad of Falcon class Recon cruisers, a detachment from a much larger Intrepid Crossing support fleet on patrol in Etherium Reach.

In March of 2009, Intrepid Crossing was involved in a full-scale war with Red Alliance. Spurred by incursions from IRC into the border systems of RA's home in Insmother, the war inevitably drew attention from RA's allies, Goonswarm and xXDeath, and resulted in the full retreat of Intrepid Crossing from null-sec space.

I enjoyed flying a Falcon. At the time, the Falcon was one of the most powerful sub-capital ships in the game due to their extremely advanced ECM jamming capabilities, and were notorious for being able to completely incapacitate multiple enemy ships simultaneously from up to almost 200km away. They recently (ish) received a significant nerf, reducing their effective jamming range significantly.
They're still useful, but have gone out of style in the eyes of the fickle EVE community.
