Description

So I finally had time to visit new pavilion zoo Prague opened after years and years of plans and preparations - it is a special house that became home for many endangered and amazing species of birds, especially parrots.

So yay, chance to shoot my beloved hyacinth macaw (pictured)!

But the most precious bird jewel can be found in the neighboring enclosure - a very rarely kept Lear's macaw, which was believed to be extinct in the wild! Those parrots remind of their bigger and brighter cousins (hyacinth macaws), however they are much rarer both in the wild and in captivity and therefore attractive commodity on the black market after all, zoo Prague obtained first three individuals in 2010 when some bastards tried to smuggle the birds and were caught.
