weeeeeeee procrastination is so sweet.... I really need to do my homework now, 3am oh boy.

Greg encountered a fox one day, mid day. Rather odd to see one stranger still its brazen step toward him; he asked it "may I help you" out of idle humor of its absurdity. To his surprise it spoke quite clearly back and plaintively of the traffic on the road down the way.

After a stumble and embarrassment of being laughed at, Greg drove what he thought a hallucination across the way in his car. the door had barley closed before the fox was at the opposite tree line. he thought he heard a hissing laugh after a smiling thank you as it vanished.

two weeks latter on the way home he stopped where he had last seen the fox. the reasons why were beyond him but there again was the fox. he asked if he had been called here or if was going crazy. The fox was in the car before it simply said yes.

Back and forth for a summer. Small exchanges and over time Greg simply accepted his new farrier role. one day though he asked aloud the question he thought each time "were are you going?"

A dangerous question. one the Fox was glad to show rather than explain. Instead of vanishing in the hedge this time, Greg was beckoned forward by the fox. after a spin a loop and a hop of mind, Greg found himself in a room.

He had been at a road side but now he was on a wooden floor. it was uneven but the grain was huge. he felt an odd prick at the back of the neck, exposed. he realized everything looked just off, but as he looked up he fell over with a yelp.

There he saw the fox, he knew the face, but now it was more human than fox, but he knew. it towered overhead, big firelight eyes and curtains of fox fur hair, it expressed surprise at him. "I know humans don't have much spirit presence, but to be so small...." the fox smiled.
