Well they strongly advise against it.

Yeah, I used to go around taking pictures of funny Warning labels like that, before I started making my own. They never fail to entertain.

I loved how you recreated the warning signs. This recalls to me of the instructional posters of India.

Thank you! I haven't ever seen those ones from India.

I giggled a great deal, but I have a question. As a rabid, obsessive, Futurama fan (definition: have all the episodes, seen all of them at least a dozen times, probably more; can recognize many of them based upon the opening tagline; given nearly any quote, can give several following lines and, often name the episode; and more!), the blowdryer abslutely made me think of The Deep South episode.
"I can't swallow that!"
"Then good news! It's a suppository!"
That episode has the best quotes... But is it related at all or am I just grasping at straws?

ha ha. No, that wasn't consciously part of the drawing, but I'm also a rabid Futurama fan, so it may have been sub-conscious.
That episode is fantastic! I love Zoidberg's burned down house in the end.

"how did this happen?"
"that's a very good question!"
"oh so that's where I left my cigar"
"That just raises further questions!"

Yay the signs!
Haha the revolver one is funny as hell. I get that a lot. Never with weapons, but with my teeth. For some reason insects love biting me, and i love biting my skin after they've sucked blood out of me. It gets my frustration drifted away.
You could probably make the height of the first two boxes equate and align them

Yeah, I saw that bug bit picture that you did. That was awesome! It was actually one of the drawings that made me say, "This is a person I need to add to my watch list".
I really should fix that panel. Thanks for the input.

ha! If they ARE real then I'd love to have a picture of them (I collect pictures of funny warning signs.) You know, now that you mention it, I think I did see that hair dryer one the other day when I was at Bi-Mart.

WonderDookie In reply to avadon [2005-04-15 03:13:05 +0000 UTC]
What I did was have my roommate come up with all the random everyday objects she could, and I made warnings for them. The recliner one is older though. My friends and I actually put wheels on a recliner and rode it down hills, and I was going to stencil the warning on the bottom.

Yeah, I want to. Myself and a friend of mine keep meaning to print these out as stickers, then we're going to go to Wal-Mart and put them on the applicable merchandise.
Hopefully there will be more of the Warnings coming soon too. I love doing those.
