Yup. This is how I imagine the Forest Spirit from Princess Mononoke to look...if I drew him. I had fun with this, but it was real tedious.I had watched the movie a while ago...and decided to draw some fanart! yay! I'll do more later....oh, and if you haven't watched the movie Princess Mononoke...GO TO BLOCKBUSTER AND RENT IT! NOW!

I like the face, hair, horns, feet, the long body.. the lightning and focus are also very nice! All nice and simple.
I wouldn't mind if THIS was in Mononoke
It's graceful, looks odd and benevolent, and looks like it was done quickly.
No doubt you were inspired by the amazing Miyazaki's film.

Awe hun, don't ever say that about yourself or your art. Here's a few words of wisdom though, if you want to be liked for what you draw, then you're just hopping on the fanart bandwagon to popularity ville. It's not really a bad thing, if you're looking to make money off of your art, but it feels better to hear 'wow, what creativity you have' instead of 'yay, avatar/inuyasha/FMA/etc'. You feel more appreciated for how you draw, not what you draw. You get me?
I'm not one of the popular artists on Deviantart (generally because deviantart is HUGE, I rarely get looked at because of the size of this website) but it feels nice to hear about my style or my original pieces once in a while.
And like I said, don't worry about the size of your gallery. You still have time to fill it, and filled it will be.
*cough*...Anyway! those are my two cents, I hope it wasn't just babble to you =]

wonderful, simply wonderful. It's different from all the usual character ones, and the lushness and fertility of the forest is understated and subtle, beautiful enough not to crowd the picture and adds to it overall! The butterflys are also a nice touch.

Being new to see this pick. I own a lot of Miayazki-san films My Favorite still being Nausicaa because it was the first anime i saw that got me on my craze for it. It's a wonderful piece and Miyazki-san would be proud.
