Well, that's a given.  Lots of miles and stories in those shoes.  I wear my sneakers for a few years before I get new ones.  Then the old ones are used for gardening.

..and so do i. first in the workshop then in the garden.
 and since your posting i see this photo with new eyes: this shoes really had a long way. they even was travelling from rockland (maine) to greece per sailing boat (about 5000sm) but on a 40 feet boat actually they did not tramp really long ways

Ha ha Maybe they didn't tramp but they did travel a long ways.
