This is one of my favourites photos of Smarty ever, he was 15 months old here and I had a very lucky capture of hus gorgeous eye. My best cat eye macro ever! ^^
I didn't edit the original much here, just added the watermark and saturated the colours a bit.

This is an absolutly beautiful picture. Smarty's eyes are a vibrant and brillant green, and remind me of my own cat's eyes. (except that my cat's eyes are gold and yellow.xD) I have fallen in love with your pictures and stamps, especially your cat photos. Your cats are beautiful, and I have fallen in love with Smarty and Layla. I hope to see more cat artwork in the future. These are the most cunning cat photos I have ever seen. I wish I had these photos for posters in my bedroom. xD;; Keep up the stunning work!

Smarty is definitely a cute kitty. I love how that green colour wraps around his pupil, while the rest of his eye is kind of a washed-out gold. Very beautiful

I love the lighting you managed to get Smarty in; the orange sunset/rise really highlights his fur. And of course the EYES. Beautiful! That soft yellow-green with that dark green center bleeding into it... magnificent. I really wish I had cat eyes like these

I'd say both since this was shot with a compact digital camera and you can't change lenses on those
I used a Canon PowerShot A630 set in macro mode plus a few manual settings.

I wouldn't know. I've only had Canon cameras so I have no idea of how the macro mode works on a Fujifilm.
But if there's one and you need to take a shot of something small and close go ahead and use it.
And it would be good to take shots of the same subject both with and without the macro mode, then compare them and see which one came out better.
That's the best way to know.

This is an absolutely beautiful picture. I can tell from the detail in the fur that you used a great camera and either had a hell of a zoom or got really close. One thing that always gets me in pictures of cats is bright, clear and vibrant eyes. It's hard to get much more vibrant and clear than this - you can even see a reflection in his eyes of what he's looking at!
The level of the picture and how close it is makes him look less like an 'animal' and more like an intelligent, equal creature that thinks and feels just like every other person on this planet.
A beautiful piece of art.
On a slightly different note, he looks absolutely fascinated by something. I almost would expect him to start chirping at birds.

This photo was taken with a Canon Powershot A630, Smarty is lying on the windowsill, so I was very close to him and used the macro function of my camera to catch the details of his eye.
And you guessed it right, he was staring at some pigeons on the roof!
