Name: Lutalo
Sex: Stallion

Color: Swamp White-Birch Brindle
Markings: Infinity symbol on left underbelly.
Family: Older brother, Roark.
Name Origin: African name meaning "Fighter or Warrior".
Overview: Lutalo was an exceptional case. Even more so than his brother Roark. He was the only brumby born with coloration not inherently native to their surroundings, as the White Birch is more common to North American forests than Australian rainforests. At first foul play was expected within the herd, but when he opened his fiery orange eyes just like his father's, all questions of parentage melted away. Lutalo was more lightly built than Roark, taking more after their mother's body. As he was a year younger than Roark when their lives were destroyed, he has since relied heavily on his brother for support and has become shy from not having much social interaction with other equines. He displays a great affinity for birds, though, and appears to be able to communicate with them, even if only on a basic level, perhaps compensation for the equine company he never had.

Lutalo's basically shy, very dependant upon his older brother, and quiet. He shows great affection for other creatures, particularly birds and foxes. When he comes to Klementina's band with Roark, he doesn't know how to react, but is encouraged into conversation by Citrus, which has been bringing out his natural affinity for others and his sweet, sentimental personality.

Sunrise, thick tones of pink and orange, leaked down the far mountain range, staining Lutalo's world in the warm colors of morning. A mist lolled in from the west, dragging across the dandelions littering the open hills. The birch-brindle stallion was unused to being so far from his brother, even though Roark was not all that far, he was merely out of sight, and that was farther than Lutalo had been in awhile. His chartreuse forelock brushes across the burning orange eyes that scanned the quiet emptiness surrounding him, drinking in the sensations and sounds of the approaching day.

He lowers his mouth to the sweet, wet grass, still perspiring with silver dew, and relishes in the simple delight of the lush opulence. The sun will incarnadine the clouds in a few short minutes, and the scarlet light will rush out over the plains, coat his silver body in the color of blood, and then continue nonchalant on its ascent to noon. But for now it is just Lutalo and the mist, and for now, that's just enough.

Alright, so. Holy balls.
Ugh, Diikae's designs are just, ab-so-fucking-lutely gorgeous, and if I get monsieur Lutalo, I'll be absolutely in awe.
I saw both Roark and Lutalo's designs at around the same time, and for some reason, the two just clicked in my brain as OMFGBROTHERS, and thus i shaped basically an entire comic around them. Scratch that, an entire comic around them. I know, I'm such a gambler, aren't I?
Though I want to role play out some of their misadventures getting to Klementina's band, one of which I already started with ~equify . So anyone that's open, hit me up in note form or aim form. I won't be using Lutalo unless I actually get him (and omfg, have you seen the other two entries? UGH. Why do I always have to go up against amazing people?) but Roark is totally open atm.

By the way, I fucking hate dandelions now.
