Description As we are all artists in dA I would wager there are quite a few of these

I must admit to being one myself sometimes

I'm enjoying this series immensely. Excellent, perceptive, and original work.

I've met one of those and she's truly what I would call one of my many many enemies, all I did was call them arrogant and they go crazy on me and then she claimed I was pure evil or whatever, which is a total exageration on mildly evil.

Ha!

You must sup with the devil or something to come up with such an evil comment as "arrogant"

Heh, great image, I like it's little glasses and handbag! *L* I have met several of these, both in the DAsphere, and in the terrible worldoutside.

Also, don't confuse these with the Delicate Dandelions, who, rather then pitching a hissyfit, just curl up and begin wilting and withering away at the least criticism. Some of them even go out of their way to wither quietly, so as not to disturb anyone else as they expire. The results can be quite sad if you trip over them accidentally. This kind of deviant feeds on sunny dispositions, and a good occasional watering with kind words.

Oh dear. *very carefully pats* Still, I suppose that was sort of the idea, that it was another related archetype.

LCTechno In reply to Eolhin [2006-03-06 09:18:55 +0000 UTC]

Ooooh... (revels in the pat) More pats and kind words, please!

Hahah...but it's true, though. I don't mind it if there are critiques on my art but I get so oversensitive over my writing. Like I've recieved 4 good reviews then I get one that tells me "about your grammar, it could use improving. So can your spelling." then I get so affected that I worry about it for a few weeks, thinking: "It's true, I suck! I'll never become a good novelist!" And at another comment, I deleted a whole story, not wanting anyone else to see my 'could use more work at descriptions' story. But I'm better now. Hopefully...

Heh, check out this comment, earlier under the same deviation: [link]

There is a reason I never post my poetry or writing. *L* I know perfectly well that I wouldn't be able to take criticism of it from strangers. I only show it to people I really trust so far. Perhaps some day I will be brave enough to reveal it to the world. For some reason, it is different with my photography and other art.

So, see, you are actually being very brave, to post your writing for the world to see.

As for spelling, I am terrible at it. I run everything through a spell checker (Word), including the titles of my photographs, and my comments here, before posting. The only problem is, it doesn't catch antonyms (things that sound the same, but are spelled differently and mean something different). Just a few days ago, a friend pointed out that I had used 'Wheal' instead of 'Wheel' in the titles and descriptions of some of my recent deviations. I had to go back and change all of them. *bangs head on desk* And before that, it was 'lightening' when it should have been 'lightning'. *L* You see the problem. Luckily, I have a friend who is good at spelling, but has issues with grammar, and we proof each other's posts (after the fact). She caught both of those problems. So don't worry, if there were any misspellings in your post, I would probably never notice! *L*

*adds another pat, for good measure*

well, I don't throw a tantrum or anything XD;, I just try to deliever some weak counterpoint, and then sulk off.

BUT THEN I ACTUALLY LISTEN TO IT !! AND IMPROVE !!

I'm actually starting to ask my friends for some crit !!

Oh god, I knew one of these... Threw a hissyfit over my comment about "jellydancing", spewing a bucket of worthless pseudohistoric "facts" about fat bellydancers in ancient temples. Instead of banging my head on the desk in despair I decided not to bother anymore. There's better art on dA than fat, moominlike bellydancing dykes. Just look at the Bestiary.

Oh man, I've met someone who is identical to that description. It's like a description of this one person XD They were all cool and dandy until someone gave them a critique, and boom, they were hissyfit central. Off my watch list in an instant they were. Great job with this one

I can think of a few who fit that. Personally I can soemtimes fall into that when I really like something I make. Except I tend to cool down quickly and then try to see things constructively (as I should be doing... cuz in graphic design there are no "because I liked it", there's only "because it works and fulfills its purpose in the best way").

People should just chill, it's just a comment after all.

Very funny immage, the otter looks like it's about to have a breakdown

lol These are all over Elfwood, plus flocks of this strange species that gathers its friends around it that offer such food as overthetoppraise. Good stuff, too. I tried it, but it's much too rich for my tastes.

Everytime you are so amzingly right it blows my mind.

I hate overthetoppraise... it aggrivates me, I wanna know what the person thinks of it but at the same time I really wouldn't want somebody tearing it apart.

Very nice
