Description Ha!

You see - I am not dead (a little moribund perhapse but there is definitely a pulse!)

Hope you all had a great Christmas - I've not been around because I'm having difficulty balancing all of my commitments - damn this work which gets in my way!

If anybody works for the NHS out there you'll know what I mean. For those who don't the National Health Service in the UK is being reorganised (aka "Agenda for Change") which is a big BIG job (there's 1.3 million workers in the NHS) and following on from this reorganisation is a restructuring of the training in the NHS (aka the "Knowledge and Skills Framework"). I am a training manager so there's an absolute mountain of work to get through. It should ease off in about six months though (if I make it that far!)

I do check out dA regularly but from my work PC so I don't log in as me.

Here's hoping that 2006 is your best year yet!

Yep, I'm pretty sure that that is me too. I definetly have a tendency at times with interprating things the wrong way. One of my poems comments section is of testimony to this along with the Deviants forum where people bit off my arm, a leg and I'm pretty sure that I'm missing an ear too. But then I look back on these times and sometimes end up slapping my head.

Ah, I think this might be a more globular version of the Delicate Daisy. *L* Though the Delicate Daisies are a slightly different breed, as they don't become Screaming Habdabs and only sulk quietly and unobtrusively, if at all.

At least you have a National Health Service... *wry smile* The situation in the US can be downright frightening.

Distance learning - Foundation Degree with the Universities of Kingston / St George's Medical School and Chester University with the option to top it up to a Biomedical Science (full) degree

It's proving very popular as we've designed it for the lab support staff with no formal qualifications - we've got 160 on the course now

The security side we've mostly got sewn up now, and the policy and procedure stuff is now being knocked around at the appropriate senior level - now all we have to do is get the social workers to actually update their records in a consistent and coherent manner *rolls eyes*

Yay you're back!! Welcome back, another fun addition to the Bestiary. You will need more jars to hold them in soon.

My housemate works for the nhs and I work (in a small way) for local goverment so sending lots of energy and fun things away from work to keep you going, knows you'll need them both!

i can't help but think that the "agenda for change" and "knowledge and skills framework" and the whole schedule sound terribly much like programs out of orwell's 1984.
