I've been seduced by Pokemon Go, but in a way it's a good thing because it gets my sedentary butt out of the chair and outside to walk around the block every so often, looking for the pokemans. I've been walking more, getting sunshine, which (especially now during convention season) I don't get enough of.Also I am stubbornly against in-app purchases but...man oh man do I want more Lucky Eggs. And they are so hard to get in-game.
I'm not gonna do it though. I'm not gonna pay real money for imaginary items. I'll keep resisting.
(in case anyone's wondering why the phone is so huge - it's not a phone, it's a tablet. It's the only device I own with a data plan so that's what I use

Yeah I'm with you, as much as I'm enjoying the game - I have a hard time spending real money on any in-game item

If your tablet has google play as the app source you can get the Google Opinion Rewards app and get free credit for doing surveys every once in a while

I'm right there with you, part of me is all , but I'm resisting so far. I've gotten a lot of eggs from the poke stops though? 4 of the 5k and 2of the 2k?

Lucky Eggs are different from Pokemon eggs, though - Lucky Eggs are wonderful eggs you can activate for 30 minutes and it doubles XP and combat points

So it *does* work on a tablet? I haven't downloaded it because I don't have a smartphone and the App Store says it's "optimized for phones." Hmm, it might have been better if I didn't know this information.

It does! But only newer iOS tablets (not sure about Android tablets, I assume they can!) and they MUST have data (because the game needs a GPS signal, so wifi-only won't work). My generation 1 iPad mini couldn't run it, but my iPad mini 4 could.

You can get some by leveling up! (Evolving for XP does wonders!)
