I got a copy of Pokemon Omega Ruby from my friends from Christmas, which ended up being pretty interesting since I never played any of the original Generation III Pokemon games. I kind of skipped from Gen I to Gen V and never really played any of the earlier ones. So I had *no* idea what the point of berries that increased Beauty or Coolness or whatever were.Until I caught a Feebas and realized there are no Prism scales in Hoenn. In Black/White and X/Y, the only way to evolve Feebas to the absolutely stunning and incredible Milotic, is to trade it using a Prism scale. Otherwise, you have to raise its Beauty to maximum. So suddenly I realized why those stupid berries were so damned important - if I wanted a Milotic, I was going to have to stuff Feebas' stupid face with Pokeblocks made from blue-colored berries.
And that's exactly what I did.
...maybe Birdtrainer should stick with raising birds. Fish don't really seem to be her thing :|

I remember searching for these darn things in the original Ruby game, it took so long to explore every inch of water! I did find a shiny Carvana though

i must admit it was my first time ever training a milotic seriously this game. and i love it! I was lucky enough to get one with a competitive ability and..yeh... damn that thing

I kinda feel sorry for it, but it´s exactly how I evolved mine too....
though I got lucky and caught it on my third try in the southern part of route 119

Thanks! In ORAS there's now two places you can get a feebas 100% of the time - under the bridge on route 119 in the north, and near a rock in the southern part of the water on 119 :3 I caught a bunch then stuffed them full of pokeblocks.

There's a spot where you can catch hem 100% of the time in ORAS! Go to route 119 and (during the day) fish directly under the bridge in the northern part of the route. You have to be surfing and lined up just right under the bridge.
Or if you're playing X/Y, I can just trade you one of the many unsuitable natured ones I caught :3 the pokeblock thing only works if they have a nature that likes dry food (like Quiet), but any nature will evolve with a prism scale.

It's the northern most bridge here - bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wik… Close to the number 08. Make sure you're in the middle of the shadow under the bridge, fishing lengthwise (so your bobber is in the shadow). This only works during the day, too. Otherwise if it's night time, fish near the rock at the southern most part of the water. That one is more tricky, since if you're too close it won't let you fish, and if you're too far away, you won't get the Feebas. The bridge during the day is the easiest way to get Feebas after Feebas :3
