I can see what you mean. . . It's a nice angle. It would have been good if you could have left the exposure longer to get even more light saturation. . . Those kinds of shots are always difficult.

Well now that I have a decent camera, I can do just that! Watch this space. (Actually, not THIS space...)

Fantastic shot of the opera house. Catching the bit of tree in the left foreground really gave the shot some extra color.

Yep - thanks. I did a version without the tree. Didn't look anywhere near as good. Some sort of balance I think.

It is a magically beautiful place. . .. We're busy destroying it as quickly as we can but the rest of the world's had a 500 or 5000 year head start on us.

ya, so true. I guess I'm one of those nuts that people refer to as a "tree hugger".......I just love nature, I always have...And I worked with the Environmental Protection Agency from 2000 thru 2003 which I enjoyed.. I love walks in the woods and photographing nature!

Coolness...............same here.......I grew up in the mountains...camping,hikeing, fishing, gardening and landscaping...love it all.
I never saw the beach until I was 19 though and moved to S. Florida...I was in aww over it. But the extreme thrill for me was seeing the beaches of N. California when I was assigned there for 6 monthes with my previous company. I had never seen black sand beaches...but now that I have I love them... I loved it out there...hikeing in the Red Woods was awesome.....
Ever so often I just have to get out in nature...just to breath the beauty of it in!
I know that's silly to some...but a must for me!

Exactly. . . I've got to hit the road every year or two and drive 10,000 ks, stopping everywhere along the way. . . The distance seems to unravel some sort of knot that develops inside me from being in the one place, doing the same things.

It must be much harder for writers on DA. . . A photo or painting can be scanned in a second. Prose or poetry has to be opened, and requires time to read. . . You probably get far fewer reads than photographers get views.

This is such a great shot. I love the tilt of the camera. It breaks all the rules of level horizons and it is a better photograph because of it. What was the focal length of the lens you used?

very nice. the perspective is perfect. maybe better if the tree wasnt taking up so much of the bridge. if you felt like reshooting, then i would suggest finding a way to bypass the tree
