Core Chronicles: Mechacratic Invaders! update rollup 1
Since the pushback to January 10th, I'm positive you're antsy about what'll happen within. Rest assured that I am done planning the first episode, and am in development of it now!
I do have to tell you that she may have been able to come alone had someone not taken it upon themselves to be her disciple...

I think this guy is too deep into his own fanfiction that everything he sees out here is canon

The subject makes cameos in Core Chronicles. And you get input on whether they win or lose!

it's the captain of the big one being an ass and using the smaller ones as additional armor

Is this supposed to be a review pass or some kind of Blue Angels routine with cruisers and SotL?
Either way it's impressive.

That's the plan. I'm debating on whether of not to include formations of SELF's.

Aha.
Hhhmm, could work. Think SoLs could run in all Big Gun groups - similar to the squads that took part in the big naval engagements before the Carrier really arrived? Or would they be too vulnerable to fighters and or lighter ships with more manoeuvrability?

Hmmmm, a flotilla of SoL's. Sounds neat.
They'd still be vulnerable to smaller craft, of course, but they could serve as the nucleus to a ginormous mega task-force.

I don't know. A force with a proper industrial base could crank out enough drones to get through whatever counter craft ordinance a SoL could throw up. The sacrifices would be insane, but that would mean little to a determined foe. Fighter protection would still have a place in filling any conceivable gaps.

That's certainly true.
Not gonna argue for a moment that they wouldn't be vulnerable, just less so than in our modern world.
I think any Capital Ship in a sci-fi universe would need some form of fighter or escort screen in addition to its shields or CiWS. After all we saw what happened to the Super Star Destroyer in Return of the Jedi.

I should say, just for the record, that if one's looking for good, old fashioned naval combat... only in space, the Honor Harrington series is a great place for it. It's by David Weber, and some of the books are available for free at the publisher's library.

The Honor Harrington series does have great battles, and up until recently I would have agreed that they were the best. But if you really want to see space combat done right you need to read Jack Campbell's Lost Fleet series.
Once you get past the slightly goofy premise in the first chapter the story climbs swiftly uphill, as the bane of most sci-fi space battles, Newtonian Physics, is here used to brilliant effect to craft realistic and exciting space fleet combat actions.
Just as an example, a huge part of every battle in the series is the fact that because of the speed of light, by the time the characters see what an enemy is doing across a solar system several minutes, or even hours might have past.

Oh Fett... My bad...
Whenever I think deaths in RotJ Leia's killing of Jabba is what comes to mind, although I don't think of Boba cause in extended universe he escapes the Sarlacc - just like we all know Aayla was only stunned by the Clone Troopers and okay Jango is sorta brought down cause his jet-pack fails him but then he does get killed by one of the most badass Jedi in the sega.

Ah okay, fair enough I suppose - Do you count the animated (cgi and tradition) Clone Wars as canon?
Yep, couldn't class Jango or Maul as getting quick humbling deaths. But overall the Star Wars universe does have a habit of handing out quick a few humbling experiences to the supposedly baddest of the bad.

Aha I see.
That does seem a bit silly.
I'm pry only interested in the CG series as much as I am cause I like Ahsoka's design (but she does have more growing up to do).

She needs more electrotorture to help her grow. She's had one or two good hits already. Annoyingly, the recent stories have concentrated on the political. (And not only that, but brain-dead and backwards politics).

In the 2-D Clone Wars, Shak-ti got a nice shock from Grievous after being bound.
(George Lucas and Mike Judge team up and bring us... Grievous and Butt-Head.)

You've made an unbeatable point there.
Hopefully non of the hot female Jedi at the time of RoS, who were to a one stunned by the Clone Troopers, ended up in Jabba's clutches...

That would make a lot of sense - although the convoys getting the girls back to Clone bases were probably attacked and captured by the FMP.
