Been wanting to paint a bird for a while to tackle the concept of feathers. The feathers actually ended up being kinda boring so I kinda half-assed it in the end, as I was intending for it to be a "speed painting" more than something I'd spend hours and hours on. Lost track of time completely and spent too long on it anyways.

Overall, mission failed. But I still like the picture

(Also, after deciding to google for pictures of the bird AFTER I'd finished it, I decided that my reference picture from a book wasn't the best or most accurate ever)
