Today's gijinka brings us Kirby again, inexplicably floating through space. Consider this a remastered version of the very first submission in my gallery, the picture I rushed for my birthday/Kirby's 20th anniversary (they are on the same day, after all). Wow, I've improved quite a bit in such a short time ><This looks like the cover for a psyrock album...orz. Somebody fund that! A metal Kirby arrange album, how awesome would that be?
Detail notes: The shines in Kirby's left eye are Pop Star and its sun and moon, respectively. Maybe he's riding home after Milky Way Wishes?

On a completely unrelated note: Somebody go to Super Comic City 18 and buy me this doujin. Fgsfds I don't even care how much it costs to import it, I want it. No, seriously. If I ever had the chance to participate in a Comiket (keep dreamin'...), I'd buy out every single Gijinka Kirby stand. And go broke.

Comiket's a convention in Japan for artists to get together. You can buy all sorts of individually published manga (called doujinshi), music albums, fandom goodies, and pretty much anything that the average fanboy/fangirl dreams of.
What's cool about these conventions is that there actually is a gijinka Kirby scene, and while assorted fanart can be found in some pockets of the interwebz, you'll only be able to see that much quality giKirby fanart in one place during Comiket. That and also Pixiv. Good gosh if it weren't for Pixiv I would've long since been deprived of my daily dose of Kirby.
Okay, you might want to take a deep breath here. Ffff that comic is my ultimate dream. Words do not express. That artist has the best gijinka interpretation of them, bar none.

Pixiv sure has a lot of Kirby gijinkas, don't they? Nearly everything I've seen of gijinka Kirby is on Pixiv. I'm feeling like I should familiarize myself with the site more.

Oh, how so? I'm actually not very familiar with pixiv; the most I've done is glance at a few pictures people have sent me links to. Never searched something.

It's pretty simple, really. If you follow the link I gave to this submission on Pixiv [first link, not the doujin that I want badly], there's a string of several tags in a gray panel above the illustration, and you can click on them to see the illustrations tagged with them.
The ones you're most interested in would be "擬カビ" [GiKirby, it's a portmanteau of 'gijinka kirby'], "カービィ" [Kirby], "星のカービィ" [Hoshi no Kaabii]. If you follow the links on my other submissions, I have the Marx tag [マルク] on Leech!Marx, and the butterfly!/Meta Knight tag. And there are more. Just let me know when you feel like looking up stuff on Pixiv, I could probably translate the tags for you.
Oh yeah, I'm up for it! Shoot me up with what you have over on FFN and we'll take it from there.

Saweet. I'll make some final edits, then send you the chapter. Take your time with it though.... or you could even go in parts if you like. (I was considering putting Roman Numerals 1, 2 and 3 spaced throughout the chapter just to make it simpler to read - or splitting the chapter. I'll happily take advice in that regard as well..... It's close to 17,000 words, so it's a bit ridiculous for one chapter. (I prefer to stop at 10,000....)
