I wonder what the executives of Colgate Toothpaste think of having their product being personified by a MLP character. For that matter, it would be interesting to see if sales of Colgate toothpaste went up at all after Colgate the pony appeared (I know I started using the brand because of her).

I saw it on the MLP:FiM wiki.
Minuette as a name for her makes sense considering her cutie mark.
If her 'official' name had been known earlier, I figure there would be art of her teaching ballet or piano or something of that nature. Instead, she is known as Ponyville's dentist.
Some fanfics have labeled her Colgate Minuette. Others say Minuette Colgate. And then there is a tumblr out there that lists her as Colgate Romana Minuette. Why Romana? Think of what other background pony has an hourglass cutie mark, and then look back (it was during his 4th life, I think)
