first off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!anyways, here we have my charater Vox and her Charater Zakuro just hanging out or something, I was going for kinda a "rock star" -ish kinda thing with the lighting and the background... but I'm still not sure how well it worked....
omgsh! obvious, that is WAY too much purple in any one charater xD I'm getting sick of purple....
I'll be uploading a separate picture with just Vox in it... since he's kinda hard to see in this pic....
and the next thing.... I CAN'T DRAW HUMANS! gah! ... it's so annoying... every time i draw them, something just doesn't look right, and the worst part is that i have no clue what exactly I'm doing wrong, so I've requested critique on this one... tell me what I'm doing wrong, PLEASE!!! even if it's just in a comment.... (oh and if you see something wrong anywhere else in the picture, tell me those also...)
I find it weird that I've been drawing mostly animals for awhile now, and i draw such terrible animal ears on Zakuro.... figures....

Vox looks absolutely fabulous! No critique there! ^^ However, I'll concentrate on the human girl since that was your biggest issue as you said in the artist's comment.
Starting with the face, it looks good. I would keep it that way but posibly make the eye lashes more noticable (that's just me though). The torso looks good however you can't see here other arm. You probably either put it the side we can't see (in which we would not see it) but if it's holding the other side of her knee, we'd see the arm. I'm pretty sure that's not what you had intended but just a little side note ^^ The overall flow of the body looks good however the legs strike me as odd. I can't place what it may be (maybe the right leg, the one farthest from the viewer should be resting against the amp rather than in front of it...I'm not quite sure...) The hand looks a little off (understandably so, hands are very difficult) I would maybe rest it againt her leg or show some fingers depending on how long her sleeve is.
Over all absolutely fantastic! I like the touch you added to the background in the blue checker pattern and the coloring is just amazing ^^

hmm, yes I've had a hard time with drawing girls for quite some time now... there are many things i know i still have to work on, thank you for pointing out my mistakes... everything you said was dead on, the arm was originally in a strange place from the start... i should have noticed that from the very beginning... hmm and now that i look at it, you're also right about the legs.. in reality, I'm sure one of them would be resting against the amp instead of just dangling...
but thanks for noticing the background! I thought it went quite well with the picture... and thanks for the compliment on the coloring! another very useful critique from you, thanks!

Hi. I really like the picture; as I'm not really the best artist ever, I don't have any critique on the picture itself.
I simply found it a bit odd, though, that your friend's OC's name and looks very, VERY much remind me of a character from Tokyo Mew Mew. ^-^;

hmm that is odd i must admit... I've never really watched tokyo mew mew much... but my friend might have... maybe that's where she based her character off of... idk, i've never really asked her... but it's possible....

Her body isn't too bad, a little stiff, but not bad. Really, the issue is in her face. Her chin should be lower, and her cheeks simply vanish and immediately become, well, chin. You probably need to adjust your construction lines...I can help you, if you want, but that's up to you.

The belance is alittle of at certain points and no you didn't use to much purple
So is it a joint project where you mix the two characters or did you design it all?

Since no one really told you what was wrong and I'm not allowed to critique without having a subscription, I'll tell you flat out:
Her face is a tad the wrong shape, and her hair makes it look like it totally dropped off.
The way you drew her shoulders makes her neck look a teence too long...
Her eyes are off-balanced and her nose is too small compared to the rest of her face...
The human foot is the exact same length as the lower arm, so her feet are a bit too small.
Her ears are far too big...if you looked at her front he front she wouldn't have a side of her head...
And knees are more round than how pointy you made them....they're really, really pointy...
I'm really sorry if I was too harsh at some point....
After over-looking the flaws like I usually do, the over all concept and picture itself are amazing...I'm still jealous
Good luck with proportions....Use the construction lines of you're having issues with drawing people...or look in the mirror for a really long time... o.o why am I laughing....

omgsh! lol, thank you for the help!!! seriously, no one else said anything... *glares at them* i knew there was a ton of mistakes... and you know what... each and every one of those, all i could do was nod and take it... thanks for the help! I'll try to remember all of this and practice to fix all my mistakes.....
so i just want to say them again so i remember...
1: shape of face
2: neck length
3: eye balance
4: nose size
5: Limb sizes
6: ears (ya, i know, I draw animals, that part should have turned out right... *bangs head against a wall*)
7: rounder knees
so, 5/7 are face features... the other 2 are body stuff.... so i REALLY need to work on the faces while doing some work on the body... grrz...

Remember to keep t hings balanced like you see on actually human faces...a little distortion is okay in anime, but never cross the line unless you're going all the way.

well, they can, kinda, i mean, they switch from a brilliant blue to purple, theres a reason for every story i have her in, they are all different reasons, but they always switch LOL

my eyes do that :3 my eyes change the green and brown & lightness & darkness according to what im feeling. like, when im depressed,
they are usually REALLY dark & mostly green,
when i am happy, they are light, & you dont see much of a difference between the brown & green, they fade into eachother,
& when im PISSED OFF they are dark & mostly brown :3
my sister's turn yellow when she is stressed out X3
