After what happened in 225, I'm not surprised that there would be backlash with Ian's writing.
I've heard about the mysterious person in 232. So far, I've heard only rumors and speculations.

They even showed her roboticized form on the latest cover.

This sounds as bad as getting rid of her from the comic completely. I have yet to see her new form in full, but now I'm not sure if I even want to.

Still, the fact this was his "big surprise" all along really leaves me with a bitter taste in my mouth.
Why did he have to choose such a graphic route in terms of Sally suffering some misfortune?

I'm guessing that he's trying to make the tension in the story more dramatic. Nevertheless, I think it's a bit much. Both Sally's "death" fake-out and her roboticization seems to be happening all too fast. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the comic's current route with Sally either.

If he wanted Sally away from the FF's for awhile, why not just go the MIA route?

That actually wouldn't be so bad, especially if it was written correctly.

Sally seems to be in there just for the sake of spotlight instead of actually accomplishing something.

Another possible route would be if Eggman didn't pull off his Death Egg until later on, but in a different matter that doesn't involve using Sally for mere shock value. Instead, the comic could've focused more on Ixis Naugus and Geoffrey St. John. That would've been a better story instead of pulling all sorts of tricks for 225 and so on.

Imagine Sonic in civil battle with Naugus while he's king and then Eggman shows up a few issues later.

Thanks, I suppose that Ian is running low on ideas for big story events. The whole 225 fiasco and so on is nothing but shock hype. The only thing that keeps me with the comics is the artwork. If it wasn't for that, then I would've not shown interest in these recent issues.

I mean, if Ian is going to have some super war story with tragedy involved, then he'd better dig down deep and give it everything he has.
I personally don't think he will when it's all said and done.
I heard someone even think all this going on could nothing more than a dream of Sonic's when it's all said and done.

If that were the case, then I would without a doubt give up on Sonic all together. For me, the artwork from the Archie Sonic comics is the only thing that has my interest as far as Sonic stuff in general. As of now, the story is far from hitting any high notes.

Yea, the artwork I'll admit is pretty nicely drawn for the most part. And, I don't blame you for wanting to boycott Sonic should this happen. An ending of this being all one big nightmare would such a slap in the face.
It's like the ultimate deus ex machina style of fixing things IMO.
"Oh, the story's getting too gritty and graphic now? No problem, I'll just explain it was one dark nightmare, and everything will be a-okay."
Anyway, what makes this scenario somewhat plausible is the fact Ian actually did something similar in his fancomic, Other-M, years ago according to this source.
He had some really bad things happening in it, but made it turn out that Sonic was just dreaming.
So, this being just one big nightmare when it's all said and done I would say is not impossible.
But if Ian knows what's good for him, he will not choose this route. It would be the end of his writing career at Archie as we know it.
