Description
This is my Yamaha SG2000S solid-body electric guitar made in Japan. It has been a part of my family since 1976. My father ordered it the moment it hit the shelves.Pictured above with a dangerously armed DSL strap decorated with real Winchester Rifle bullets ridden of their gunpowder. This guitar is part of my guitar collection in my Selangor, Malaysia home.
It is autographed by my grandfather, Michael Magness of The Strollers. It is currently, my workhorse and I call it ''Old Black''.
This guitar is most definitely not for girls. Along with the black leather bandoleer and the guitar's solid construction, ''Old Black'' weighs in at a back-aching 6 kilos. Try performing on stage with this axe, ladies.

Which models are your Fender and Yamaha? I'm an absolute sucker for guitars and I just gotta know. Own a few Fender guitars myself. I'm yet to upload photos of them, but here's an artwork of my favorite one. It's name is Precious.

Precious is a 1985 Fender Stratocaster which has been down the road for many, many times.

my fender is quite similar to Precious, only I named him Squink (loooooong story).
I couldn't even begin to try and name my Yamaha, because I have no idea. It was over 40 years old when I got it...something about a Spanish guitar, maybe? Its an acoustic

Sorry I'm not really the guy to talk to about guitars. My dad's more the guitar man... he's got six or seven... I play trumpet, tuba, cigar box guitar, piano (when I can) and sing... soo, the only type of guitar I play is an old cigar box guitar with my glass slide...

Interesting to meet a musician Na'vi. Furthermore one who plays glass slide with the guitar. Impressive. I sometimes use a steel slide. I don't think I've ever heard of a cigar box guitar, though. What is it?

Ah, so those are cigar box guitars. There are quite a few of us here in Sector 1404 who own them. They're not called cigar box guitars here, though. Their names differ depending on the origin of the owner. Such examples are as follows:
Clunkers
Shoeboxes
Twangers
Tanks
Busters
Banjunks
...and much more.

You got a BC Rich, too!? Awesome. Mine is a Japan-made Bich. I've had it for about 5/6 years, now.
Personally, EMG pickups are not worth it. To me, at least. Seymour Duncan seems to be the best bang for buck. For an axe like yours, I'd recommend Seymour Duncan Blackouts. Those pickups are bombs ready to blow. They'll put any EMG pickup to shame any day.

I've got an Alexi Laiho model. Its the yellow one with the black stripe. Although, I think mine is some sort of Japanese import model because it came with gold hardware. The hardware on these guitars are always black.
