yeah i am currently working on my five string bass not only did i modify the look but made it fretless

Yeah, works completely. Obviously the sound is altered a bit due to me chopping half the body off, but it still doesn't sound horrible or anything. I think if there were half decent pickups in it I would consider it stage-worthy.

Mostly older rock and blue (Anything from Eric Clapton to Led Zepplin to Stevie Ray) but also modern rock, alternative, and even a little country.

Well, I'm going to be going to design school so I need to do some projects for my portfolio. I've seen some cool steampunk things online and at anime conventions so I figured "Aweh, what the hell, I'll give it a shot".
That poor old Jay Turser wasn't getting any attention anyway. It needed a makeover.

That's an awesome story.
The only cool thing I did with my guitar was take a pricer from my work (convenience store) and put a bunch of price tags on a portion of my guitar to make like a casing. And then I wrapped that thing that's stuck out that holds the strap with electric tape.
I hope you get a scholarship for it.

I think pretty much anything done to a guitar to make it custom is cool. If anything ought'a be personal, it's a guitar.
