I don’t think I remember Mr. V
but Wonrei and his book owner were pretty neat. I liked how they could fight together rather than just having the book owner yell commands (or atleast I think they might have done that?? But I don’t really remember)

My favorite pair was definitely Dr. Riddles and Kiddo although Ponygon is definitely up there for me.

I think I remember Mr V from the games more cuz he's just so funny cuz he's literally just a giant V that dances a lot. Same with the Invincible Folgore.

Wonrei I actually remember being messed up by his sacrifice as a kid. Same with the pink hair girl thing. But Meru-meru-mei is the cutest thing ever.

Wait wait, I might remember him. Did he have blue eyes? And was he white? If he does, then I think he might have been near the later part of the show near when that one purple mamoto with the moon symbol on her showed up.

And yeah, his burning was really sad.
You mean Tia? I actually don’t remember her book burning. Actually besides Ponygon, Kanchome and Kiddo I can’t remember if hers was burned in the anime.

Eid you know, that apparently Kakashi’s voice actor also played Ponygon xD ?

The moon girl I think I actually drew way back when on MV cuz I liked the moon motif. The show had a lot of great designs imo

Oh, I mean when Tia goes berserk and stuff. I don't remember a lot now, but I remember I was really hit by it.

Kakashi's VA is so talented it's not even funny. Well it is funny, but only when Ponygon is on screen :v

Believe it or not, I think the artist said that he added the lines just to make it clear that as the first demon-kid you see, that he’s not human considering how normal he’d look otherwise. (cough cough, there’s some interesting looking humans in this series xD) In one of the concept sketches, he actually could’ve been more gnome esque if it weren’t for the fact that design didn’t look protagonisty enough xD

I think what’s sad about the show is that Kiyo becomes “generic protagonist personality” after he meets Zatch, but the plot needed Kiyo to be partnered with Zatch to become a better person. I think it would be interesting if Kiyo didn’t actually make the switch to being a completely inherently good person, considering how mean he was introduced to be. I mean, heck, it took Zatch for Kiyo to even be nice to his parents//

It’s also not just good vs bad. A more accurate comparison would be man vs society. There was never a group in mamoto history that ever thought to actually win to stop the pointless fighting until Zatch came along. I think it’s implied that everyone before just wanted to be king. Since i’m the end, if they fought all the bad guys then the friends would still have to burn each other’s books, thus ending the time they could continue to spend with their human partners, which in my eyes would be a way sadder kind of ending if they all actually made it to that point. And sometimes they did have to fight people who they otherwise would have been friends with.

It always has a soft spot for me, especially because of the comedy.
They didn’t dub all the episodes but you can still find them.

Also those were the days when you’d occasionally catch Jimmy Neutron’s voice actress in shows like these xD
