A scratch cat Pokemon. They are very fond of things that are round and shiny, and are known to pick up whatever they find that fits that description, most notably being coins. They are considered rivals to Murkrow and both will steal from each others' territory. Meowth are usually found in urban areas and are valued for their attack, Pay Day.

Meowth appears from the Poke Ball in the Super Smash Bros. series, and uses Pay Day, tossing multiples coins at opponents in quick succession.

A talking Meowth is the signature Pokemon of Team Rocket members Jessie and James, having pursued Ash on his 25-year journey.
