Hanse the HighlanderNo not inspired by Braveheart. Frankly this came about more of a gaming spinge with Medieval II Total War. I swear, nothing beats the fun of seeing hundreds of kilt dressed Highlanders armed with axes and claymores overrun pesky Frenchies.
Drawn in photoshop, total time to draw was about two hours really. My only mistake was the curve of the tail stripes, they are supposed to be curved in the other direction to indicate the tail is 'behind' him. But curved this way it appears that the tail curved towards the camera... when the lines don't support it, creating an odd illusion.

The Irish and Welsh joined with me in an alliance, Norway screwed me over and I am wiping them out. William Wallace turned 29 and I was getting impatient with having him wait on the english border and had him invade as I was mopping up Norway. I am playing the Lord of the Rings mod right now however. Gondor and Rohan are getting their butts handed to them, and the High Elves lost their capital. Me, as the Silvan elves are reclaiming land.

Sorry o_o. I want it too. A bit expensive and unlikely to run on my laptop. Not that my laptop is weak, it can play Unreal Engine 3 games on max settings. But given how Empire Total War brought my even stronger desktop to its knees at times.... well you get the idea. I miss my desktop... I'm across the country from it.

Kilts are one of those few lower coverings that I approve of because they cover and yet they allow the freedom of leg movement. It's like having a cape for your lower half...
That being out of the way, I like the detailing you put on the headfur and ears and chainmail. You really had good fun with grayscale in this shot.

anyone, and I meen ANYONE that can wield that thing, without issues is often VERY deadly in battle. William Wallice was one such person. (especially if you go off of Deadliest Warrior)

People say claymores are too heavy to be useful when in fact they are pretty manageable and nasty in combat with the proper combat style. Now.... time to slay some horses.
