I'm getting the feel for a lot of these types of anime/dramas. Everything goes south or takes another direction. Slaine now is reminding me of (Hitler) in the way of being an outsider/foreigner taking rule of a country & committing genocide of race. I love Slaine, but he's attacking Earth too much...kind of going crazy with power. And the princess will not endure that tragedy.
I'm thinking she'll sympathize with the other guy. Oh, I haven't seen that ep yet. I only got to the one where she just wakes up & Slaine makes that big move to attack Earth. Grrrr... don't MESS with my planet!
Yeah, it's tons sad! I hate he's turned out this way...even if his methods has an ulterior motive (to gain back Earth)...too many lives have already been taken.

Well, Slaine's headed down the wrong road, even if he's gaining Earth for the princess...it's not gonna work.

A/Z ending I don't know why but I kinda like it XD
but there's so many people hate how the show ended, maybe you too? haha
but I don't like they made Slaine suffered to the end

That's perfectly fine. At least we know how the show ended. I needed more from this show to make it complete. The problem I find is they offered us such a gorgeous (in the beginning) good-hearted guy that suffered thru so much, Slaine. But this character and his relationship with everyone became ill-fated. It's sooooo sad. And we find out he was corrupted from the beginning.
Why did they feed us such a boring hero and an amazing villain, to the point of killing thousands of innocents. Oooooo...pooh...and you still felt for him.
The the girl of his heart he turned from ends up marrying the count, who was sooooo interesting. The storywriters didn't even explore him that much.
Yeah, the ending needed to be the way it was. He was a war criminal, started a needless war. I even liked the count far more than the quiet Inaho?
Now here's the romantic that I am. I would've written it either with Inaho having more zest in his personality and getting with the princess, then conflict happens around that.... OR... I even like this equally...
Slaine actually struggles to end the war, (while another power hungry Martian takes over), he's brutalized more, but gets above it...gets the princess and helps out the Terrans...WHO ARE HIS DESCENDENTS! I still love this Slaine character appearance and beginning ways. It's like I nearly waisted my time watching this... BUT the artwork, space opera, and personalities kept me going. I didn't like how they made Slaine to be two-face, power-hungry, and almost like Hitler, who turned against his own kind.

One thing I can tell you, I love that Slain. Sometimes, I wished he and the princess would get together. But we'll have to see what develops in 2nd season.

I know what you mean, he was my #1 favorite in the whole show now i'm kinda unsure... Him and the princess was my ship but now I don't think can work out in anyway, even if she's not dead she'll some how find out what he did to Inaho...

I really doubt that Inaho is alive considering it was a head shot at point blank range. Unless they pull off some "magic" or something but that might be kind of cheap... The princess on the other hand wasn't shown to be directly shot in the head or even the heart so there might be a chance for her... Poor Slaine he needs a hug.

Yes, he needs a hug! I'm wondering about Inaho, being a main character & paired with Slaine in the main theme intro. If they do come up with something & work out a deft reason, I don't think it'll be cheap. I think the show may hang onto this triangle...Inaho, Slaine & the princess. But you may be right cuz there's still that romantic tension with the princess finding it hard to forgive Slaine for shooting Inaho.
Well, I may be totally veering off in the wrong direction. Still, it's all in fun and speculation. Can't wait till Jan 2015!

I agree with you but maybe he was just in the opening so much to mislead us? I'm not too sure there's not too many animes that kill off the main character half way through the show. I remember when I first saw promotional art it was only Slaine in it so I thought he was the main character for the whole show. Kinda shocked when I learned about Inaho being the other main character. But yep! Can't wait for January! It's coming out so soon compared to other shows! Also i'm kinda glad there's no manga or light novel for the show so no one really knows what will happen next! Β
