Description
This is the work done as an award to the winner of the "Mewblade's Novel Contest". Psylady [link] chose to have a picture made of her two Mewtwo characters, Reznor (front) and Nails scrapping about with Nails coming out on top. I went for pull on the tail and the potential of dumping Reznor off a cliff sort of action, being that Nails is just that much... better?Really happy to have Mewtwos together, and also delighted that I got to play with her nicely balanced color palate of characters. Most of her characters are colored in pastel, and warmer hues, so worked off of those and the background from her "Sweet Dreams" comic and more or less this inner mental turmoil her troupe resides in. Orange is such an interesting color.

Like I said before, i love it, really nice executed, just like i wanted. They look like little boys who love to tease one and another. Nails is as gleeful as he should be. I also like the background. Nice to see them in their homeplace. That orange water actually was really copied of my fav anime neon genesis evangelion, all ended with the lcl- ocean... love psycho stuff. By mentioning the troupe, really fitting word, reminds me that they originally were splitted personalities of mewtwo himself. Yep, i made that poor guy even more messed up as he already is.

I was kind of wondering about the orange water. Part of me thought it was a play on the water's color in the tanks. It's still a surreal, but pleasant color.

The fact that its the same color of the tank sure was adding to my decision to use it, but honestly the main idea with the ocean was totally traced. *cough* At least i admit it.

Heheh, awsome pic! xD I love how Nails grabs Reznors tail while he is trying to escape. The tail getts a abstract sense of realism "feels so real" when being pulled in. Poor Reznor. xP
I miss this reading this comic, it was good.

It was interesting to see her work since it is some of the most unique Mewtwo and Mewo offset work I've personally seen.
